I had problems with my docking station and I had to buy a complete set of accessories to replace it so I have a brand new remote control (without batteries) if you want it

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Archo AV700

Hi M8

Seems you have burned out your charging circuit. This is common on these units & you need to do one of two things,Either send it back to Archos & they will fix FOC if under warranty or buy a external charger which are a bit difficult to get hold of @ the minute. Can get them from Hong Kong - ebay.

Archos av 700- Im having a problem with mine it keep coming up with can't read from hard drive error.

It only contains a laptop hard drive, so buy a new one remove all screws from either side of your av700 and replace it, dont worry cause once you open your av700 the hard drive is really simple to swap, then fire it up and format the drive you can download upgraded software from www.archos.com

My archos av700 has a dark screen

Managed to resolve my dark screen issue. It is a little weird and not sure which combination actually got it going but it works. I firstly connected the TV POD unit to the AV700 and used the remote and no joy. With the TV POD unit still connected, I fiddled with the battery latch switch a few times and VOILA! - the screen came back to life and all is now good.
I hope it is as easy as that for all of you....
