Stage 1 torque to 20nm -----------
Stage 2 - wait 3 minutes.----------
Stage 3 - fully slacken all bolts in sequence-------
Stage 4 - torque to 20nm--------
Stage 5 - tighten by 97 degrees (plus or minus 2 degrees - so 95-99 degrees really)--------
Tightening sequence, with the flywheel on the right looking down on engine - top row of bolts are 1,2,3,4,5 -------- bottom row of bolts are 6,7,8,9,10 ---------
sequence is, 8,3,4,9,7,2,5,10,6,1----
sounds like an alarm system that has the horn disconnected,so when you start the vehicle it trips the alarm then resets itself after awhile .see if there is an aftermarket Alarm system under the dash and remove it!
Well the same thing happened to me a few months back with the exact same car but what i noticed was when i was changing the spark plugs one of the HT leads had come off the spark plug so i fitted new spark plugs and re-fit the HT leads properly - Problem solved :D
at the back of the engine block, there is a black box, remove this, and check all cables underneath, reinsualte where required then keep the box removed.

On your 97 Blazer
The fuel PUmp RELAY is located in Right side of dash
Behind the glove BOX.
You can identicate for the colour of the wires.
1- Black/white
2- Dark green/white
3- Gray
4- Orange
5- Red.
NOTE... Check the oil pressure switch, because the GRAY wire pass throught the OIL pressure switch.
