Hi Thomas,
Is there a blanking plug that needs to be moved from one position to another, to divert the water from the bucket into the hose?
The instruction manual might tell you what you need to do.

I hope this helps. If I've "fixed ya" I be grateful for the rating, and if not please add a comment with your extra information and I'll try to help some more. Thanks, D.

Shuts off and light blinks looks like a water bucket that flashes

Check the wter tank it must be full and needs emptied before the unit will continue to run. If your runnig a drain hose, then the hose may be plugged or the float switch for the bucket is either hung up or malfunctioning.
If this was helpful a vote with the thumbs up would be greatly appreciated for the free advice.

What do I have to do to connect a drainage hose to my 45 pint haier dehumidifier?

1. Remove the plastic screw on cap for the right rear side of the dehumidifier. (Keep the rubber insert well for future use)

2. Using a 40" long section Garden Hose (you furnish) , screw it to the direct drain opening. Be sure the female hose connection has a washer insert in it, If not, it will leak.

3. Position the dehumidifier as close as you can to the floor drain.

4. Position the open end of the drain hose directly over the floor drain & start the unit.

When the direct drain feature is no longer being used. Plug the Open end of the hose with the rubber cap provided. And water will then drain into the bucket.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Have connected the internal tube to self-drain, but it does not by-pass the internal or external bucket....Please help, as i would like to drain automatically to the outside, without using or emptying the...

The drain tube/hose can only be used in Dehumidifier Mode. The drain hose can be connected to a garden hose, but the hose can not exceed 40"in length. As, it relies entirely on gravity to drain. In addition, the warm air exchange hoses must vent inside the room when using Dehumidify mode.

, using it during air conditioning mode, would not be feasible.

Hope this helped you.

Dehumidifier keeps shutting down already cleaned air filter and emptied bucket

Your Dehumidifier may have a low pressure switch or a compressor hi temperature switch, if the system is low in freon it will shut the system off to keep from over heating the compressor.

Not draining from the hose. Pail filling up with water

You need to check the hose and the outlet it's connected to on the dehumidifier for clogs. The dehumidifier will divert the water to the bucket, if the aforementioned is clogged.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a HONEYWELL dehumidifier (30 pints) and I would like to set it to drain directly. I hooked-up a hose to it and ran it in a drain. but it don't seem to work, the bucket still fills up and then...

Louis, some models do not require that the bucket be placed back in the unit, if a drain hose is connected. You'll need to check your Owners Manual on that. The other thing is, where the hose is connected may be clogged and is forcing the water to go into the bucket. Disconnect the hose coupling and check for clogs. Also, keep in mind, the dehumidifier does not have a pump. It relies on gravity to move the water through the hose. If the hose is longer than 5 feet, is kinked or not sloped downward, it can't drain the water.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Keeps filling with water and shutting off.

Air conditioners remove moisture from the air like a dehumidifier does. With portable units it is captured in a removable container and when full will turn the unit off so it won't overflow onto the floor. There should be option for a hose to attach to the bucket which could be run to a drain so you won't have to keep emptying the bucket. Just remember the a/c unit needs to be higher than the drain.

"The black plate with floater in the bucket" is what signals that the bucket is full of water. So if it isn't in the right place then you will get "P1" (Problem 1 which means bucket is full). The "black plate" needs to flop down inside the bucket for it to register as empty. When the bucket fills the floater makes the plate go to the top and it shuts off the unit.

Danby dpac120068 Air Condtioner, where does the hose go? and do you fill the tank in the back with water?

hose goes into a bucket or out a window, drained, etc. it's the drain hose for the condensation. alternatively you can use the tank to catch the condensation, which must be emptied periodically.

I have a portable air conditioner and the water condensation tank fills in about 4 hours of constant use. Is there any kind of portable water tank that I could attach to my unit that would allow me to...

I would suggest putting a condensate pump in the reservoir, find the tube that empties the water into the reservoir and direct that into the pump. You can run tubing from the pump to a sink or any other drain in the house that is convenient. Putting the pump inside the reservoir is a safe guard in case the pump fails, the water will fill and turn the unit off instead of flooding the floor. It would actually probably trip your breaker once the water hit the voltage on the pump but always better safe then sorry. Check out these pumps at amazon, you don't need anything fancy.
