Getting frequent Error codes: F/H & F/11

1st got the F/H error-machine not detecting water filling. Checked valves & hoses-all ok. Then started getting F/11 -miscommunication between the CCU & MCU. Cancelling the cycle, turning off washer & then re-programming a load usually resolves each of these error codes. I suspect it may be a faulty CCU? My spouse thinks that if a repairman comes out- the costs will be significant & the money might be better spent on a new set. Purchased this set in 2002- family of 4 averaging 5-8 loads/week. My old whirlpool lasted 20 yrs!! Any thoughts on these units/longevity, etc?
thanks!

I think going for the new machine is better option. as your machine is very much in repairable condition but the parts required for its reparing and the cost of the engineer who will repair this is very much near to the new machine.the parts which will be replaced will have no garranty as it will be under the section of physical damage section.still the choice is with you.but this is the only option .thanks.

Hello andeb,

before you buy a new unit,

it could just be loose wiring connections. try taking off each socket wires to its socket and put them back to establish a fit connection. look for some wires that are not securely fasten because as the motor vibrates, sometimes these socket becomes loose... that is why it is intermettent f-11

let me know what happen...

i hope i was able to fix ur problem...

tnx,

pls rate me..

My Whirlpool Duet washer is making a loud squealing noise when filling with cold water, or it reduces the cold water to a trickle, which sometimes causes the washer to throw an FH code. It does not h

Hi. Got some info about the FH error from Whirlool service manual.

F/H

No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.

In my experience the CCU is the problem (control board).

IF the machine has water! If not, check water valve, hose, water tap.

Do it overfill? If thats the case, the pressure switch is gone, its hose has a leak.

Hope this helps you

follow this steps .God bless you
F/H No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.
Or
If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
    2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
    3. Verify inlet valve operation
  • If there is water in the unit:
    1. Verify Drain pump operation
    2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch
  • Verify there is not a siphon problem
  • Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check all hoses for possible leaks

FH IS FLASHING ON THE WASHER AND IT HAD STOPPED WORKING ONLY 5 MNUTES INTO ITS CYCLE

Hello,

The FH error code means the computer on the control board didnt detect any water entering the washer..sometimes it doesnt detect the water entering because the filter screens on the water inlet valve are clogged with sediment and water is having a hard time entering the washer.

The filter screens can be checked by turning off water at the faucets and disconnecting the fill hoses from the back of the machine and pop the scrrens out of where the hoses connect at the washer and check for blockage in them. If they are found to be clean check the water coming out of the hoses before connecting them back to the washer...if the screens are clean and water pressure is good out of the hoses the part of the washer called the FLOW METER would need to be replaced

Keep getting FH code. Have cleaned inlets and checked hoses. Water is coming in,sounds right but then goes to FH again.

Hi

Error code FH appears when No water is detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip is not detected. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If there is no water entering the unit then make sure that the inlet valves are working fine. You may need to check the continuity at the inlet valves. If the valves are fine then check whether inlet water hoses as they might be plugged. Also check for inlet water screen at the valve. However, if the water is entering into the washer then the Drain pump might not be working. Also inspect the Pressure Switch hose whether it is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch. Also check hoses for leak and inspect the flow meter. Hope this helps...

We are getting a H F when we start the washer and water wont start to fill the tub

Hi
Error HF means that a water inlet problem has occurred. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If the machine is not filling then check whether both valves at water source are turned ON and inlet hose are not plugged. If the machine is filling fine then chec the pressure switch hose and the drain hose for siphoning (also make sure water is not flowing back to the machine from drain hose). Check wire harness connections to: Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Code fh is displayed

The FH code in the owners manual talks of a water supply . The F/H code means the unit isn’t detecting water fill at the flowmeter. The flow-meter sits just in front of inlet valve and is attached via a hose, and off to the left of the CCU. If your washer is filling ok, check the wiring from the flow meter to the control board; I’ve seen this harness jiggle loose and cause problems. check figure for flowmeter location:-- ca83b83.jpg

Lg washing machine error code is ie

IE = inlet error. Washer has not detected enough water after 8 minute fill time. Check screen at inlet water valves where hoses connect to machine for blockage. Look for kinked hose(s). Make sure there is water supply reaching machine. If all OK, most likely next thing is the water valve itself.
