Try any electronics store, This is a basic piece of kit so you should have no trouble finding one.

Computer wont turn on

Make sure the tower is getting power. There will be a green light on the back of the tower where the power cord goes. Make sure the cord is snug and that it is securely plugged in to your power source - I'm hoping it is a power surge strip and in which case, make sure the surge strip didn't get unplugged or turned off. If you have it plugged directly in to the wall then make sure that outlet has power by plugging something else in to it that you know works. After doing all of this, make check to see if there is a light on the back of your pc. If not, unplug the power from the back of the tower, wait 30 seconds at least, and then plug it back in. Hit the power button on the front just once, if it doesn't power up, press and hold the button in for a 2 seconds and release. If that doesn't work, your power supply may have gone bad. That happens from time to time. Good luck, hope this helps!

The left click button on my Logitech M555b mouse stopped working earlier today for no apparent reason. It has no physical damage, such as dents, scrapes, or water damage. The mouse is only about 2 months...

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

then click on the >> all control panel items scroll to mouse in the buttons tab you will see the defaults left button right button and middle wheel click you might have to set the left click button again

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

.

Or disconnect the mouse from your computer restart.
If still does not work you need a new mouse.

hope this helps

Fan is not moving, front panel led is red

If your computer will nor start and the system fans do not turn on and stay on when you power on your PC, then either the power supply has failed, a component connected to your motherboard has failed or the motherboard itself is defective .
Power supplies require a "power good" signal back from the motherboard before they will operate.. In order to test a power supply, you need a PC power supply tester. Without one, you will either have to take you power supply to a PC technician and have him test it or install a known good power supply in your computer.

Bought a Creative I/O USB2.0 to SATA/IDE Cable to retrieve files from an old harddrive and put on my new harddrive. When I plug the system in, my mouse doesn't work properly. Mouse arrow struggles to move....

This is most likely a defective adapter cable. I just bought this same cable and it was dead-on-arrival. The customer reviews on Newegg have about 30% negative reviews for it. Seems the power supplies are subject to failure quite often.

Although, if you are getting the transfer to work, you may just be saturating the USB bus. If this is the case, then when the transfer is done your mouse should go back to working ok. It's better to not try using your computer during a harddrive transfer anyways.

25-character product key of Microsoft office home and student 2007

Sorry aditya_007 but what you're asking for is not a service that is provided here!

Product keys can only be obtained 2 ways:
1. you recieve the key when you purchase your genuine microsoft product from a licensed retailer or Microsoft themselves.
2. by calling microsoft and purchasing a genuine product key for a product you obtained from another source.

Sorry but it's against the law to pass around keys and licenses for microsoft or any other vendors products.

Raidmax 500w power slowly died, then wont turn back on.

1.-Your CPU fan is working?

2.-Your Power supply fan is working?

If not and following your description I think that you have to replace your power supply.

If you have the light on in the motherboard doesn't mean that your power supply is good.

Check the first to points above and if 1 and 2 are not working

Replace your power supply.

Let me know how it is going!

Thank you for using FIXYA!
