Installing more memory to a pc is very universal and is done the same way into all computers out there.

First unplug your pc

Open the side cover or remove the cover debending on your pc case.

Turn the pc sideways on the floor or table
and locate the memory slots near the cpu.

In this pc we have 3 memory modules installed
In this case I would have to remove one of the original memory modules first before installing a new one.

But in your computer you should have a extra slot open.

Simply insert the memory into the slot and turn the white switches on the sides to lock the memory in.

And you are done.

Sounds like the memory is incompatible with the laptop. Remove the memory and install orginal memory and boot again to see if every works correctly.. If so then either a memory module is bad or motherboard wont support the new memory (size or type)

I want to share memory with my graphic card

the system cannot share memory with your graphic card, the hard disk can share its free space with the RAM to increase performance when you have little RAM installed.
I recommend buying a graphic card with 512mb memory for your system.

Remove old modules or place new ones in if there is room.

Upgrading Memory on Packard Bell MIT GHA20

If you look along the top edge of the escape/function/del keys, there are several small plastic tabs that hold the keypad in place. Use a very small flat head screwdriver to push these back from one corner across to the other, gently lifting the keypad as you go. When you press back the last tab, the keypad should just pop out but take care as it's connected by a cable at the bottom edge of the keys. The RAM slots are located under a thin metal cover under the keypad. You'll need a very small philips head screwdriver to undo this. After installing RAM, replace the metal cover then pop the keypad back in, bottom edge first and just press down the top edge and the plastic tabs should snap back into place. Hope this helps!
