Try giving the restore factory settings ..... before that just try inserting the headphones & removing it ....
if problem persists then switch off the cell & remove the battery for some 5 mins & then switch it on ...
if you still persist the same problem then i think the port is stuck is inside if you are good at opening then remove it and remove the port & reinsert it .. if the port is attached to the board then disconnect the board & then insert it this will surely solve you problem ...
if you are not good at opening the handset then just try tapping the phone lightly ... this will solve the problem ....
your problem will be solved ..
any doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
dnt forget to rate the solution

What is causing humming sound in headphones?

Well, there are a couple things in the troubleshooting process you may want to check first. If Possible,
1. Have you tried a different pair of headphones thru the same jack?, Is it buzzing as well? Then its not the headphones. If the buzzing stops with a different pair, then we proceed to to headphones in question.

so , headphones are buzzing. Both sides? if yes , or even 1-side, then yes, it is a ground issue. can you expose the wiring at the input jack?
Basically, you want to put an ohm meter on each wire and independently check each wire for continuity. check for any breaks in the line, and or check to see if a wire is crossing over to ground via a break. so check each line to itself, then each line to each other.
if you fo not understand on the process of using an ohm meter? you can go to this You Tube link and it will give you a general understanding.
hopefully this gives you a little insight? If not?, ask the question again, and also include the make & model of the headphone set. that always helps;m Thanks,
Good luck.!!

I have no text message sounds

Go to your settings, go to sounds, touch text sounds and tick the sound you want again, if you hear no noise still, then your phone maybe thinking its got headphones in it. Just stick your headphones in, and take them out again. If that doesn't work, turn your phone off and turn it back on again after 10 seconds. If it still doesnt work then hard reset your system by holding the standby and home button together until the apple logo reappears.

Generally one of these always works, worst case scenario is to restore your phone completely, or take it to Apple themselves.

If it's a Cell Phone you should post to Cell Phone category for a Cell expert. Usually the headphone jack has been damaged due to pulling on the cord causing a broken connection.

No sound in headphones

Could be that your audio jack has material stuck in it or possibly the jack is bad.

Samsung gt19000 no sound all the settings seem to be right phone is not on mute ringtone set volume is full help

This happens occasionally and is the most common solution:

Simply plug in headphones, and remove them a few times. Sometimes cell phones can be tricked into thinking that headphones are plugged in when they are really not, which causes no sound to come from the speakers.

If this does not fix your problem, reply to this answer and I shall walk you through other scenerios

Hi plz help me i am using IBM r51 laptop which has all drivers but not able to get sound of it. but when i connect a headphone i can get sound of it. but my laptops speakers r working as i tested mt...

ibm sound card is not faulty, because you are getting sound with your head phone. The head phone jack have two functions 1. to give output to head phone 2. to disconnect internal speakers when you plug in head phone.
The jack for headphone in normal position not give connectivity to internal speakers.
I think it will help you.

Right side earpiece sound is much softer than left side

that is normal that means that they are breaking in. it is the same concept as to see a 3d picture you have to see 2 slightly different pictures, think of theme as the red and blue 3d glasses. same goes for the head phones to make the audio sound like it is in front of you rather than comming from the head phones theme selves. You know that ball like thing near the jack of the head phones that is what causes the effect, and it is an audio filter and an automatic EQ.

No sound when I get a call or answer a call..? how can I fix this

if you had plugged in a headset or headphones to listen to music the phones a little slower and still thinks the headphones are in and if you take the battery out thats one of the things it saves so you still have the problem. For some people they can fix it by simply plugging the headset or headphones back in and taking them out slowly but for others this dosent always work, so what i found out you can do is stick a small pin in the headphone jack and wiggle it around untill you hear somthing ( have your pocket tunes turned on so you'll know when its working) then once you hear sound just quickley pull the pin out.
Hope this helps

If your phone supports the A2DP bluetooth protocol, music you play on the phone will be heard in both ears of the S9 headset.

Voice calls are always in one ear only.
