Water pump going out how do i replace it - 1992 Toyota Celica

Are the cooling fans coming on ? Go under the hood in the engine compartment , with the vehicle running have some one turn on the A/C , do you see and or hear the cooling fans come on ? Could be the coolant temperature gauge is bad ! How many miles on the vehicle ? Ever have water pump replaced ?

Many a times the problem occurs due to timing not adjusted,in many cases the timing belt also needs to be replaced while water pump replacing.
Or its also possible that water pump not replaced properly or timing got mistimed.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. In most cases it is the water pump itself that is leaking. If you are going to go to all the trouble of replacing the water pump gasket you might as well replace the water pump too. Shouldn't cost that much due to the age of the vehicle. Just make sure that's is where you are losing coolant...Good luck

You will have to replace the water pump. Replace the water pump as quickly as possible because your vehicle will get short of water frequently which will case over heating and can affect the gasket of your vehicle.

If you are not going to replace the water pump immediately maybe due to finance, you will have to put water in your radiator always. Get a big gallon, fill it up with water and keep it in your boot. Then always monitor the temperature of your vehicle.

Also note that once you park the vehicle, you must put water in the radiator before you move again. This is what you will keep doing until you replace the water pump.

You might be needing the help of your mechanic to replace the water pump.

water pump is going out, either change it yourself, or take it somewhere to have it replaced asap!! before more problems arise from total failure of the pump!!

that is true the water pump does not have to come off to change the water pump
