Whirlpool dryer doesnt heat, time and shut off when you open the door

if you have it on time dry and it doesn't count down the timer is bad but it should stop when you open the door unless you have a broken door switch too, just open the door and push in on the switch with your finger,it should make a clicking sound,if not the door switch is also broke,if you have the timer on auto or more or less then it won't move without heat.on auto the heat comes on when the dryer reaches temp. the heat shuts off and the timer will advance a little, then the heat starts again and the timer stops,it will do this until the clothes are dry by using a sensor instead of time.

Defrost timer starts running when freezer door is opened

The defrost timer motor is weak and the simple vibration of opening the door gets it working again...replace the defrost timer and you'll be good again.

Food won't heat up

Hello, I had the same problem, and just fixed mine. Start by turning on your microwave (on mine, the light turned on and timer worked, but the fan nor the plate turned)... push the door upward and see if the microwave turns on... (mine did). so far so good. open the door and take the upper hinge cap off with flat head screwdrive. take the door off and place a small washer on the bottom hinge, put the door back on. your microwave should be good now. essentially, the door just needs to be pushed up a bit so it will work.
good luck, hope that works for you...

MDB7600aws Maytag dishwasher heats up with door shut when off

Your timer is jamming on the heat cycle. When you open the door the door interlock switch cuts the power off and stops the cycle.

Probably if you just close the door again it will heat again unless the machine is started again.

You need to repair or replace the timer.

Not draining, stuck on first wash cycle.

The heating element is your most likely suspect. The timer will not advance until the proper water temp. is reached. After the cycle runs for 5-10 minutes, crack open the door. Let the water stop flying around. Open the door wide. You should have released a big ball of steam from inside the machine.
No steam = no heat = no timer movement.
The heating element and the wires leading to it need to be checked and tested. Specifically, check the resistance of the element. You should get a real reading from it on a multitester, not zero or overlimit or infinity. If you can handle all of this, any repair/replacement should be no problem. Good luck

Frigidaire fdb510lcs0 soap dispenser not opening

Hi

Many dishwashers (but not all) use a BI-metal strip that heats up once poweris applied to it. The BI-metal strip bends and allows the soap door spring toopen up the dispenser. This bi-metal strip is not given full 120 volts power, the timer "shunts" the power through either the heating element (most common ) or the motor and this gives the bi-metal strip lower than fullpower to work and open. Most often the bi-metal strip has lost its ability tobend properly and needs to be replaced. Older GE dishwashers used a mechanicalarm driven by the timer to open the dispenser = no electrical bi-metals.

Newer Frigidaire dishwashers and many newer Whirlpool dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger insidethe wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if thiswax motor doesn’t receive 120 volts, then it’ll not work.

This will help you --
