" Unrecordable" CD message on RCA-cdrw120

Attempting to record copy of CD to send to workshop participants. Have used machine before successfully. Am now getting message: UNRECORDABLE CD when i attempt to copy. Have used CD-R from 5 different stacks --- all same message.

What burning application are you using, check it's setting if it's pointing to the correct drive (if you have multiple drives).

Some times there is some dust accumulated on the lens of your drive which causes such problem.try lens cleaning first.it should solve your problem.if not then ur lens must hve gone weak n will be able to read cds but wont be so strong enough to copy or burn cds.i hope its just a dust accumulation n it gets solved by cleaning.wish u success.

This sounds like the cd ur trying to copy might be copyprotected is this possible ? if not copyprotected is the source cd a plus or a minus cd sometimes this will happen depending on source media . its also possible that the origional cd is slighly damaged meaning the burner cant read it . try testing with a simple project that will help verify if laser has gone outof alignment also try to see if your computer will read the origional disk ok good luck

I found out that memorex cds that have on the package (for use in audio recorders)work every time.They're red label packaging,I hated buying cds only to find out they dont work. Dont forget READ THE LABEL look for (use in audio recorders)

source media being the disks that you buy to copy to ok , theres cd s diferent cd-r and cd+ r did u try to use _ and + disks ?

go to the rca website www.rca.com and look under support for cd burners look up ur model and find parts list then call or email rca to send you distributors number and call them order part pick it up and install it good luck with it

RCA CD recorder/player CDRW120

You sure it's recognizing the CDR? And you are using 'consumer audio' cdr? Watch it at all times. If it 'opc fails' after you put a blank in it still shows as a CDR and 0:00 on the display but won't record. It's easy to miss.
