I have a 1999 Polaris XCR 700 it runs fine until it heats up then it bogs down and won't rev over 6000 rpm's I had the fuel tank and carbs cleaned I also had the fuel pick up tube and filter replaced. The center coil is new and new caps on the other 2 are new as well. Thanks Chris

Run some Sea Foam in the gas it will clean the carb sounds like a sticky jet or dirty carb the Sea Foam will clean the carb of any residue or deposits that have built up in the carb over time causing it to malfunction you can get the Sea Foam at most parts stores and its cheap stuff and works awesome.

Is there an air fuel mixture adjustment screw? I'd try lookin for one and adjust it a little and see what happens. Sounds like your mixture is way too rich. A more lean mixture won't bog down, but too lean of a mixture will bring your idle speed up too high

Check that your choke is working correctly
Your timing may be way off as well

unleaded fuel is notorious for going stale,and it can leave a resinous coating in the carb-try running the saw on half choke with new gas and less oil eg 50 to 1 for say ten minutes,this should clear the gunk out-if this does not work,you have two choices-strip and clean the carb,or adjust the H (high) scew on the carb anti-clockwise by a quarter turn a time till it revs out full bore-good idea to remove the chain and wear ear defenders when adjusting-and always use a chainsaw at its max rpm,or you run the risk of "kickback"

turn the idle speed screw to the left about 2 full turns on all carbs, see where that gets you

I had this problem on a 05 polaris sportsman 700 carb... I dissasembled the carb. cleaned it all out... It actually was fine. It turned out the torque of the motor broke the hard rubber intake that connects the airbox to the motor... This part is $60 and takes 2 bolts to change! [email protected]

Sounds like you may need a valve job. Have you been keeping the valve clearances adjusted? It's important to do that on a four-stroke engine. Check your compression to find out if the valves are ok.

hi buddy set the needle clip to its normal condition and also on the carb is the mixture screw you need to turn this all the way in and out 1 turns and try this you will always get a bog if you rev fully too quick i had this problem with my kx85 and it was just this hope this helped mate i will send the pic in a mo

check your jetting, Clip postion on needle jet. floats could be sticking. Carbs dirty.
