I have the same problem. The saw runs and then the chain starts turned even though I haven't pulled the trigger. Can you be more specific? Thanks!

How to release dremel tip .already got screw it wont release

Press release button and hold down while unscrewing bolt. Continue to hold button and unscrew bolt until tip is loose enough to pull out if it still won't come out unscrew all the way, take bolt off and pull out tip with channel locks. It just got jammed in when tightening because diameter is probably a little wider

Dremel 3100 won't release the drill bit. Button at the top is pressed in and won't come out.

The button is only to keep the shaft from turning while you loosen the collet (the nut) with the little wrench. THEN the tool comes out.

I have a Dremel model 395T6 (F013 0395 04). The other day I was using it to cut plastic. It worked fine and was turned off during operation. When turned back on for the same operation there was no sign...

Well, yes you can measure the switch, look for continuity. I suspect something else is wrong, some models had armature issues. Measure the coils and armature for continuity.

Will not turn on. Bushings are fine/replaced.

Problem is more than likely that the plastic brush holder got hot with continuous use and the brushes n longer slide smoothly in their housing. Sometimes they even twist a little. The only solution to this is to replace the brush holder-variable switch assembly.

Stripped plastic coupler on output shaft of Dremel model 277

I'm guessing, but I think that the Sears tool uses the same flexible coupling. If you go to and put in the model 572610031, you can look at the diagram and decide for yourself. I think the part costs $2.57. If it's the right one, I'd order two or three for the future.
Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if I am setting the collet properly- Some step-by-step instruction needed.

I just looked at an owners manual at (64 pages) and under tightening the collet they state to finger tighten and then use wrench making sure to not overtighten. All you really need to do is snug the wrench up enough to hold the accessory. after tightening or loosening release the lock button and I always turn mine by hand making sure not to hit switch or remove battery (suggested for removal/installation) to ensure the release isn't catching. You can look at the manual and other information by going to their site. They also have a toll free number to talk with a tech for help. If I have helped you would you please rate this response accordingly. Thank you
