Question about Agfa SnapScan Touch Flatbed Scanner

Scanwise X Software problem on Mac OS X

When launching Scanwise X I get the error message "Scanwise cannot find the current ColorSync system profile. Please recalibrate your monitor or select another System profile with the ColorSync Control Panel". When I go to the Color Sync Control panel my Scanner isn't listed under devices. I have had the scanner working previously on this computer and I have tried reinstalling Scanwise.

    I think the ScanwiseX software isn't installing properly although I did have it up and working a few weeks ago.

    I have tried following advice babout reinstalling but still cannot see Snapscan in my ColorSync Contol panel.

Could be that there is a software conflict that is causing this issue. Uninstall the software and any other scanning software you may have through Control Panel. Next, go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest version of the software for your OS.

You may also want to try using a different cable, in case that is the issue.

    If you are having issues with the current software even after replacing the cable, try this software and see if that helps. Make sure you uninstal the current software first, to avoid conflicts:

Uninstall your software completely, and then restart your pc, after that re install the software .and check now whether you can see your device in your sync control pannel

Hi,
please check whether you have installed the software in Administrator mode only because it can restrict you in establishing the connection..Also try to restart before you reinstall your Scanwise..hope this helps you..thank you!!..

Scanwise cannot find the current colorsync system profile. I only recently upgraded to snow leopard and this was the problem message


Uninstall the scan software and install the snow leopard software not using the upgrade path. If the problem persist, install only the orignal scanner software.

I cannot use my AGFA SNAPSCAN 1236 with Snow Leopard


I had the same problem. Upgraded from G5 PowerPC Tiger OS to iMac Snow Leopard. Have a Snapscan 1236U (ScanWise) and got the same error message ("cannot find the current ColorSync System Profile"). Downloaded trial version of VueScan (www.hamrick.com) , scanner worked, so purchased the VueScan Professional Edition ($79.99) (Standard Version is $39.99). My scanner is now working GREAT!

Message says that can't find the current colorsync system profile-recalibrate your monitor or select another system profile. What does that mean please?


what you can try doing is this, right click any where on your desktop. goto properties, then goto the settings tab, then click addvanced, then click on color management, depending on your monitor there is recomendations , but if you dont know what it is use a srgb settings any of them will do it. hope this helps.

I have installed Snow Leopard on my Mac and my Snapscan Touch AGFA will not work. This is the message I get on opening -
ScanWise can not find the current ColorSync System Profile. Please recalibrate your monitor or select another system profile with ColorSync Control Panel
Can anyone tell me how to fix it.
