Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

not really easy to take apart... i would do the descale

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

How do I take apart, and clean my coffee maker?

The only parts that should be removed to clean are the pot and the basket. The remaining parts you just clean with a cloth and hot soapy water (squeezed out) then you clean the inside with 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water. Run a cycle through the pot then run again with just plain water. This do once every 3-4 mos. depending on how often you use your coffee pot. You can actually put them on the top of a dishwasher rack also. You may risk electrical shock if you take it apart.

Can't figure out how to take machine apart to inspect it

Hi Lflaher
If you can't see any screws then the machine uses snap fasteners.
Until you see one of the clips & their spacing it's hard to figure out.
Use a thin clean paint scraper or credit card type tool to lift & pry one of the plastic panels until you see or feel or hear the plastic clip pop. After the first one the task becomes easier.
Take photos as you go for use on re assembly.

Service 8 on Capresso 1300

The gears inside are clogged with coffee grounds. The machine will need to be taken apart carefully, and the gears cleaned of the coffee. I just did mine a C3000, and you will have to be careful to remember how all the parts go back together. This takes a T15 hex key for the screws. Good luck.

Krups orchestro 889 coffee maker, nozzles where coffee runs out into the cup are blocked, one completely one partially, i read this could e the filter inside needing a clean but don't know how to take it...

Remove the the four screws at the rear of the machine you will need a pair of pliers to do this and remove the hinged lids on both sides.looking down from the top and to the front you will see a phillips screw on either side, remove these and the top will come off you will then see the channels that the coffee runs from the machine now just use a piece of suitable material to clean the pipe, easy!

I need to descaler the inside of my Krups coffee maker with vinegar but don't know how much to use and what to do.

Do you know what works even better than vinegar? - Denture cleaner. Really! MA Dept. of Housing office has a heavily used group of coffee makers, and the secretary just drops one tablet in carafe and lets it clean overnight. Looks like new.
