I have tried EVERYTHING possible to fix this problem without success. I cannot use the Device Manager as the Device Manager does not recognize the player as being connected to my PC, although my PC does rcognize it as being connected. I am ready to try one of the following two options...Hit it with a very hard and very big hammer and throw this piece of **** in the trash or reserve my temper for something else and just throw this piece of **** in the trash anyway. BTW, I have tried Philips support and they are as worthless as the piece of junk I bout from them via Walmart. No warranty left on this so my options are now very, very limited to spending more money on something that from what I have found out may be throwing good money after bad. If anyone should know how to fix this, please let me know before it is too late.

I hate to tell you this as you are an electrician but often it is best to look for the simple solution. My Stanley IntelliSensor Pro was doing the same thing here is the answer:

I have a Toshiba BDX2100 Blu Ray player. I've owned it since October 2010. I've not had any problems with it until a couple of days ago. It won't turn off unless I unplug it, and it only opens...

Do you have the Blu Ray player plugged into a surge protector, sometimes surge protectors can cause odd feedback in certain electronics and cause them to be buggy. If this is the case, take it off the surge protector and plug it straight into the wall and see if that fixes the problem. If this isn't the case or doesn't solve the problem there could be a number of reasons this is happening, there could have been a surge that fried some internal components causing the player to not function correctly, or it could have just had a hardware malfunction. If this doesn't help I would recommend calling the manufacturer of the player to see if they can provide you with additional info

Some of their very old sets the video input was located on channels in the 90's; Try scrolling down from 99 to 90 to see if you locate the video input; this is just the way they did things in the older sets.

Before you rate this solution let me know what you find first.

My Belkin F5D8236-4 v3 Router won't turn on. We had a storm last night and the power went out but the router won't turn on. I have tried to plug it into different outlets to see if that would work...

Try resetting the router. There should be a little hole somewhere on it with a button inside that you can press with a paperclip. Try holding that button down while you unplug then plug the router in while holding it (if possible). If that doesn't work, I'd suspect the storm might've damaged the router somehow. Was it plugged into a surge protector, and/or have you noticed any other issues with anything else that was turned on at the time?
