Exactly! And thats why the loose circuitry.. If it were brand new, you wouldn't have this issue. Could be that the recievers were dropped, etc. Also check for interference from other sources of electromagnetic radiation, like a new TV set perhaps, or a stereo system?

Please let me know how it goes..

Batteries in phone but message says insert batteries. Original batteries in phone

I will start by qualifying some answers regarding your device.

  1. Your device was working fine before this issue came up.
  2. This is not a new phone with a new battery install.
  3. The battery is removable.
If your phone/battery was working fine and this happened all of a sudden, then try the following.

  1. Open the phone and remove the battery. Leave it out of the phone for a full minute (don't leave phone on charger while doing this.)
  2. Re-insert battery into phone and power up the device.
  3. If it starts up, then all is well. If not then you may have a bad battery.
  4. If it fails to start, there are two possibilities:
  • Battery is bad, old.
  • USB port is bad and not charging the battery.

As we all know, batteries have a life expectancy given their use and care. Most every phone I have ever purchased came with a statement regarding the "life expectancy and care for battery." It is generally recommended that you let the battery drain all the way down before recharging it so as to "condition" it to hold a charge longer and increase it's life. Also, it is not recommended to leave your device plugged in all the time (past the point where the battery is fully charged.)

Perhaps where you live, there is a phone store which specializes in phone repair, not a branded retailer like "Verizon" or "Sprint", but a repair shop. Do a search for one close by and they will be able to test the battery. Also, you may have a battery store which deals with only batteries who can test the battery for you.

Hope this helps.

Voicemail button redirected to phone line

If, perhaps you mean "it rings another one of our..." Phone Extensions, then just press the illuminated red message button, go to the ringing phone (the extension number will appear on your phone if you have a display phone) and answer the call by lifting the phone off-hook, then hang it up. Now the message button on your phone will work normally. What happened was that the user of the phone that was ringing when you pressed the button had inadvertently left you a "message waiting" after they called your phone on the intercom. By pressing the message button on your phone, you returned their call, and by answering the return call, you cleared the message waiting indication on your phone. There can be more than one message waiting, so if the light is still on after you clear the first call, using the procedure above, do it again and again until each call is returned, answered and cleared.

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Dear Marilyn, not to worry but I shall try to help. First of all check your recharrgeable battery Use a multimeter to check for voltage,if the voltage is below 3.6V then replace the battery and try. If there is no charging light onthe phone perhaps your adapter is faulty . use the multimeter to check the voltage on the adapter end.. If voltage is absend replace if not you will clean the contacts to the hand set . next You will have to open the set and access the main board to check on the regulator. Also check the line switching semiconductor. These are the possible general faults. Hope you can get help if not familiar with electronics. Good day
