If you are able to see slightly then copy all the contacts from the phone memory - 250 at a time- to the SIm card and load them to another phone.
if there is no way you can see the screen then you might have to seek help to a screen to be set to to your phone ONLY to transfer the memory. You can get this help from Nokai care.
Hi, you are just resetting the setting of your mobile by typing *#7780# instead of freeing up memory of your phone by deleting some files. You can also format your phone by going in the settings option and select restore factory setting and select the option reset all. This will format your phone but you need to backup your contacts and any important files before doing this.
I faced the same problem however I tried many ways and finally solved it. It is very simple just go to Settings/Security/Security level and change it to none or phone.
1. Memory card not formatted. 2. Memory card could be larger than 2GB. 3. Brand of the memory card.
Nokia 6085 uses MicroSD (TransFlash) and it could support up to 2GB. If you're using a memory card that is not formatted or bigger than 2GB, you might get this error "memory card not supported'.
Sometimes, brands does matter. Nokia phones prefer to use Nokia memory cards. So you need to try using different memory card to see if there's a problem with the card or with the card slot on the phone.
1. Delete unused names/numbers from the address book to free up memory. (Perhaps write down the ones you want to keep for later re-entry)
2. Once a critical threshold is reached the msg inbox indicator will blink on
3. Enter inbox and DELETE as many messages as you can before phone freezes up again
4. If phone freezes or you get the error message again, restart and keep deleting from the phone book until it allows you hassle-free msg inbox access as per normal (but don't forget to continue deleting thos messages).
ii) if this doesnt solve, perform firmware update by visiting "http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe"---> this will download a software, u have to install it, run the prog, follow onscreen instructions, bios or firmware will be updated(make sure u already have Nokia PC suite installed, Connected to internet........this is an online update....)
here when we do online firmware update or bios update all the passwords will be lost...........
