I just added the latest system update yesterday (Version 2.36 I believe). I have 3 saved games of "Oblivion" and 2 of them wont load. I have other games saved and they work fine. The one Oblivion game that loads is over 50 hours behind the other 2. I need them to work. Help!!

There are two ways to do this 1.For the latest version without having to use the internet, you need to buy one of the latest games then when you try to start it if your version is not high enough it will say ''An update is needed.Update now?'' say yes and follow it's given instructions.
2.You need the internet for this one.
Go to settings from the PSP homescreen,go to System Update you are given two choices Update via Internet and Update via Media Storage, choose Update via Internet it asks you a few questions on whether you want to update say yes to them all, then it should start downloading, when it has finished downloading (It might just ask you whether you want to install the update when it finishes downloading) go back to System Update and this time choose Update via Media Storage,it gives you some instructions and asks you to accept the license agreement then it will start installing, after it is installed go to games and Memory Stick and delete the update.
The update corrupted your hard drive that's why it's not loading any disc.Yes,Restoring the system will work but it will destroy all your saved game data.Updating the system will not remove the hard disk defect. There is only one solution,Reset it.
1 Hope your play station is connected to internet either by ethernet cable or with wireless.
2 You can update by downloading the update data from the internet. The latest update is automatically downloaded
Select Settings, then select system update, select update by internet
You can update using data saved on USB or flash drive
Select settings, then system update, and then update by storage media
Up date data may also be contained in some game disc or other types of disc media which when played will guide you through the process
Create a folder on the storage media in which to save the update data. Using a PC, create a folder named “PS3” on the storage media or USB device. Within the PS3 folder, create a folder named “UPDATE”.
Download the update data and save it in the UPDATE folder created in step 1.
Be sure to save the update data as noted below. If the data is not saved in the correct way, the PS3™ system will not recognize the update data. The folder name must be in all uppercase letters.
Location: Save in the “PS3” folder > “UPDATE” folder
File name: Save as file name “PS3UPDAT.PUP”.
Do not turn off the PS3™ system or remove the storage media or USB device during an update. If an update is cancelled before completion, the system software may become damaged, and the system may require servicing or exchange.
The power button on the PS3™ system front is not active during an update.
Insert the storage media or USB device that contains the update data in the PS3™ system.
From the home menu, select (Settings) > (System Update), and then press the button.
Select [Update via Storage Media], and then press the button.
The system automatically searches for and finds the update data saved on the storage media or USB device.
Start the update data.
Press the button to start the update data. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Confirm that the update was successful. After the update has been completed, go to (Settings) > (System Settings) > [System Information]. If the System Software field displays the version number of the update, the update was successful.
