Are you getting any error message please let me know ,please unplug the power from the scanner and wait for 30 min and scan , IS this happens only with scanning with transparencies sheet you can try placing a plain white sheet behind the transparencies sheet and when scanning the lid closed,,,,,,,Try scanner in different power supply and scan , ............If this did not work please uninstall and reinstall the software and scan..................

I have a MG5550 all in one I try to scan a paper and get a error code 3,202,19

The error code you have given does not follow the normal Canon way so I cant find it. However, does the scanner lamp actually lite? I suspect it does not so it never warms up. If the scanner is locked it would tell you first before it even gets to the warm up. If the lamp does not lite then a new one would be needed. They are not easy to fit by any means and really a Canon trained engineer needs to do it. sorry but that's the best info I can give you.

Reinstall scanner software. Scan again for SCSI devices, if controller does not recognise it, then the logic board on the scanner is faulty.

Do I need a new scanner bulb?

It sounds very much as if the scanner is faulty/failed. The warming-up phase is to ensure that the scanner lamps output is steady, making for consistent scans. Usually this is just a simple timing circuit.
Having once tried to fix a broken flatbed scanner myself, I found that obtaining the correct replacement lamp for it was impossible - I think inkjet printers and scanners are considered "consumable". You may be better off buying a new printer. Alternatively, if it keeps producing good prints, consider buying a separate scanner. HTH

Hi I found one solution through Google. See if it works.

I had the same problem: suddenly the scanner took ages to calibrate/warm up. Turns out it had to do with the upgrade to Leopard or one of the updates (I'm on 10.5.7).

I downloaded the newest OSX scanner driver from Canon:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...&modelid=13800

Now it scans without delay. Could have saved myself a lot of waiting a lot earlier!

Saving scans:
I always scan from the MP Navigator instead of from the scanner itself, so I can pre-edit the scans and save as .jpg to the folder I want and/or as a .pdf. Works for me....

Can i scan slides with my Canon PIXMA MP150

No. This feature requires a light source to shine light through a slide to the lens so the image can be copied. Your Canon all in one doesn't have a transparency top that shines light through a slide. I had to get an Epson Perfectin scanner with transparency top to copy my slides. Hope this helps.

The problem went away for me, when I reset the error message on my MP830. In this case, the message was that I was out of ink. Not a problem for scanning, yet this gave me the "lamp" message. Reset the message by pressing the "OK" button.
