Connect wii to netflix account

Hi Delores, yor image shows an iPhone; however, you must connect to your Netflix account with you Wii console.

Do you have wireless internet connection for your Wii? Do you have an established Netflix account? If so, then to download Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii you must go to the Wii Shop Channel.

  1. Select the Wii Shop Channel on the Wii Menu and select "Start."

  2. If you haven't already been to the Wii Shop Channel, you will need to read and agree to the User Agreement.
  3. A screen will appear asking you if you want to link a Club Nintendo account to your Wii Shop account.
    • If you have a Club Nintendo Membership, enter your User Name and Password, then select "Link."
    • If you do not have a Club Nintendo Membership, leave the fields blank and select "Skip."
  4. Select "Start Shopping" to continue to the Wii Shop Channel main menu.
  5. Select "Wii Channels" from the Wii Shop Channel main menu, then select "Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii." Select "Free 0 Wii Points."
  6. Select either the "Wii System Memory" or an "SD Card" as the download location. I'd suggest System Memory for Netflix.
  7. Select "OK," then "Yes" to download the channel.
  8. A screen will appear with Mario running across the screen and three blocks. Mario will hit the blocks as the download progresses.
  9. Once Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii has finished downloading, it will appear on the Wii menu.

Open Netflix, login to your existing account, and there you are!

Reset your Wii Video Settings to the Default

One annoying thing about the Nintendo Wii is that there is no way to reset the video settings once you have changed them in the Nintendo Wii System Menu.

It will not detect which cables you are trying to use and just tries to use the last settings that you set it to.

So, if you have changed your Nintendo Wii from using the regular cables that came with the system to using component cables, then switch back to a TV using regular RCA cables (these are the yellow, red and white cables) then you need to reset the settings on your Nintendo Wii to the default video settings.

You can reset your Nintendo Wii video settings to use Composite (or RCA - Yellow, Red and White) cables by doing the following:

1. Make sure the Nintendo Wii is powered off and a red light is showing.

2. With the power off, unplug the video cables from the back of the Nintendo Wii, leave them plugged into your TV (these should be the RCA/Composite cables)

3. Press the Power button on the front of Nintendo Wii. Make sure the cables are still unplugged.

4. Keep the Nintendo Wii powered on and plug your cables back into it with it still running.

5. If all went well, the picture should appear normally now.

6. Once the picture has reappeared, you should go into the Nintendo Wii Menu (the Wii button in the bottom left hand corner) and change the display back to 480i to make the changes permanent.

I hope this tip helps!

My wii remote cursor works fine until i get to the main menu of the new game i bought. the cursor doesnt show up. i tried hitting the remote and "bull whipping" it but its still not working.

make sure your wii controller is properly configured, go to your wii system settings and make sure all the settings are correct and your controller is properly configured. Your proximity to tho sensor bar also plays a role in this, dont get too close :)

Wii doesn't work

Hey mushbean,

If the motion sensor in your Wii remote is not functioning properly, Nintendo has recommended that you try the following:

1) Hold the Wii remote with the button side down.

2) Gently tap the button side of the remote against the palm of your other hand a few times.

3) Check the remote to see if it properly responds to motion.

Should this not solve the problem, you may want to check out the online FAQ and troubleshooting guide developed by Nintendo for all Wii remote issues. The FAQ can be found through the following website:

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/wiiremote.jsp

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,

Console switches off when game disk is loaded in

Is the power adaptor a Third-party one? It's obvious that your Wii does not have enough power to start the disc. If the power adaptor is third-party manufactured, I strongly recommend to stop using it Immediately.
If it's a Nintendo power adaptor, it's a defective one, so call Nintendo's customer service to get it replaced.

Cursor does not appear

exchange it

    Cursor not appearing
Please note that our experience shows that this troubleshooting is best performed using only one (1) Wii Remote at a time.
  • Some games do not use the cursor feature of the Wii Remote; Make sure the game you are attempting to play uses the cursor by reading the game's instruction manual. You can also exit out of the game to return to the Channel Menu and use the Wii Remote to see the cursor. If the cursor still does not appear, continue with the steps below.

  • Trying to use multiple Wii Remotes in the Mii Channel or Photo Channel? These Channels only allow the Wii Remote designated as "Player 1" to function.

  • Verify that the Wii Remote's pointer lens is free of obstructions and contamination (stickers, heavy smudges, etc.). The pointer lens is the tinted rectangle at the end of the Wii Remote.

  • Check the battery power level by turning off the Wii console, then opening the battery cover of the Wii Remote. Press and release the red "SYNC" button to check battery strength. The number of lights flashing indicates the Wii Remote's battery strength. Four flashing lights indicates full strength. Our experience has shown that as your battery strength decreases to one (1) or less lights flashing, the cursor may not appear. For troubleshooting, if possible, try using fresh batteries so that all four lights illuminate. For guidelines on using batteries, please click here. If after inserting brand new batteries, you are still seeing less than all four LEDs flash, then your Wii Remote will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair information.

  • Is the Wii Remote properly synced?
Press the POWER button on the Wii Remote to see if the Wii console powers on.
    • If it does, the Wii Remote is synced with the system. Please skip to the next section.
    • If the power doesn't come on, power on the system manually and try syncing the Wii Remote.
      • If the Wii Remote will not sync, there is likely a problem with the Wii Remote. Please click here for repair information.
      • If the Wii Remote will sync and the cursor still does not appear, try another Wii Remote if possible.
        • If at least one Wii Remote is working, there is likely a problem with the first Wii Remote and it will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair information.
        • If you have only one Wii Remote, or none that are working, please continue troubleshooting.

  • Make sure that the Wii Remote is being used between 3' and 10' directly in front of the TV and that there are no bright light sources affecting the Wii Remote's operation (review Game Play Guidelines for more information), and that the Sensor Bar is placed properly (see Sensor Bar setup).
  • Check the cord on the Sensor Bar for any frayed wires or kinks, and verify that the Sensor Bar is free of obstructions.
  • Check the button functionality, and that the Sensor Bar is operating correctly, by accessing the Wii Main Menu. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to scroll side-to-side through the Wii Channel screens.
    • If you are able to scroll with the "+" and "-" buttons, but the cursor is not appearing, then there is likely a problem with the Sensor Bar. Please click here for additional Sensor Bar information.
    • If there is no response, there is likely a problem with the Wii Remote. Please click here for repair information.
