Digital camera I have a kodak easy share c340 digital camera. All my pictures and the easy share software for viewing and transferring, are on my hard drive(C:). In order to make more memory available on this drive, I need to move the pictures and software to an external hard drive (E:). How do I do this?

Open your folder that contains the pictures. Then open Drive E and create a folder there for your pictures. Open that folder. Press CTRL-A to select all the pcitures in the original folder. Press CTRL-X to cut all of the pictures from the original folder. Select the folder that you are moving them to then press CTRL-V to paste what you just cut. All of your pictures will be moved from the one location to the other.

In that software there will be preference in which the path for photos to automatically save in default position C: you need to change the path where it needs to be saved as D:.

Simply select your pictures from the c drive or the folder right click and copy then go to e drive and right click paste.

The files will get copyed, ones copyed check that they are all there and then you can go to your c drive and right click delete the pictures you just moved.

My kodak easy share m530 does not transfer all the pictures to the computer. HOw can I transfer th left out pictures?

You can use a USB to Digital Camera cable or take out the memorycard in your kodak easy share m530 and use a external/internal card reader on your computer. If a screen doesn't pop up within 20seconds, go to My Computer > Look for a picture(drive) that hasn't been there before. Usually it would be like Drive I/J/K or something like that. Good luck and rate.

Transfer pics

Use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can use any program to view your pics.

I can no longer transfer pictures from my camera to my computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

All the pictures in my kodak easy share program are coming up with a x in the thumbnail. How can i get the pictures back Thanks

Did you move the pics to another location on hard drive? The Easy Share program is just tool to view the pics that are stored on the hard drive. It uses "Albums" to view these pics. The Album is still there but it sounds like the pictures got moved.

I cant download pictures to my computur

You are supposed to plug the USB in FIRST then turn on the camera, the lens IS NOT supposed to pop out while hooked up this way. Then you need to open the Kodak software. Kinda sucks and a PITA to use. My older Kodak (about 4 years) when plugged to the cable would be recognized as a removable hard drive just as a flash drive and it was obviously super simple to move the pictures to folders in your computer. Now so easy with this new camera, you have to open the Easy Share software, then it transfers them into a folder it makes up labels with the current date, within a folder on your hard drive. then you can move them in the main folder you wanted them in, then delete the one it made up. It won't, (or I haven't found how) transfer pics straight to an existing folder.
Screw that, my printer has multi-media card slots, I just pop the SD card from the printer and pop it in the media slot just like a flash drive.
I deleted all Kodak software from my computer, waste of time.
