PS3 tv display

PS3 makes a loud buzzing noise and lines go through the picture when we use it in an upstairs bedroom. When we move it downstairs, it is fine. What can we do?

I was playing my PS3 and moved it from my tv upstairs to my tv downstairs. After plugging my PS3 in my tv downstairs, on which it had worked just 1 week previously, my tv picked up no signal from my PS3....

Try this.

Plug your PS3 on either TV. Turn on the backswitch. When the red light in front is on, put your finger on the on/off button in front AND KEEP IT THERE. You will hear some beeps; don't worry about that. Keep your finger on the button until the front power light goes red again. This resets the PS3 video settings. Turn the PS3 on and the TV should pick up the signal.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

My playstation 3 works on my downstairs telly, however does not work with any of the upstairs televisions. the problem began when i first bought a HDMI cable. the problem is that no picture or sound can...

It is probably due to the fact that your PS3 needs resetting back to standard definition. Try holding the power button down for 5 seconds until it beeps. It should then revert back to standard.

Hope this helps

MY SCREEN IS BLANK MY TV IS NON HDMI AND SO WAS

  • Have your ps3 in standby mode (red light).
  • Now, press and hold the power button in the front down. Your ps3 will beep twice. Let it go almost exactly after you heard the second beep.
  • Wait 10-15 seconds. A display will show up, and just answer yes to all!

Buzzing sound on TV, Bad Picture...

You have a Genesis 1. Make sure that you are using the correct power supply; the first models use a different voltage than the second or third models.

Ive got a 40gb ps3 and a bt home hub wireless router how do i connect ps3 to computer ps ps3 is upstairs and pc downstairs

look on the back of your home hub. there should be a Wireless Key in a Grey box. (BT Home Hub wireless settings)

note the wireless key.

go to your ps3. and turn it on log on ect. go to settings and down to network settings (right at bottom).

(Im not sure of the next section because im currently on a network but it should be an option to find network).

anyway you search for networks. should find your home hub.

keep going right untill you have to enter any settings. and write your WEP Key (Not WKA). (wireless key from back of router).

Make sure the output frequencies set by your PS3 are supported by your TV. Check it's technical specifications for it's speakers supported frequencies and make sure your PS3 only puts out those that are supported.

Otherwise the speakers of your TV can get damaged.
