The chopping/mixing blade for my new HamiltonBeach food processor 70550R series E3890AT does not engage the drive shaft. This should be very simple, yet, the blade attachment does not engage. I am wondering if the wrong part was put in the box. I am looking for a schematic of the blade/shaft interface to determine if my part is correct. Any ideas?

I made a cream cheese and sour cream based dip. The only thing else I added was taco seasoning. After it was done, I couldn't get the blade to come out or the cup thing to lift off. I figured it was just because the dip was thick and I needed to get some of it out before the blades would lift. That apparenly wasn't the problem. I used it to make my recipie then went to remove the cup again and it won't move. I have poured hot water into the cup part and let it soak every day for nearly a week. Ive also tryed pouring it down the little hole at the top of the blade system in case some how I got some of the sour cream inside it and caused it to jam up. I have done everything short of taking a sledge hammer to it and I cannot get it to release the blade or the cup. Just in case no one has figured it out yet, yes Im trying to remove the cup with the lid off. You can't do it any other way. And yes the system still works. It doesn't smell, the blades turn, I can turn it on and it continues to work just fine, I just can't take it apart to clean it. Ive tried everything from trying to pry it up from the bottom to beating the sides of the blade post with my marble morter. Nothing is working.
