I have an LG tv, just got connected to Foxtel IQ they told me to put the red, yellow and white jacks into the input slots. Now do I juist turn on my VCr and follow the prompts or do I need a specific...

When using the RCA jacks as you stated it will be on an input from the tv. You should be able to select the correct input using the remote. Are you going through the vcr first and then the tv? If so you might need to change the channel on the vcr to a selected input as well. Most of these are marked on the back where you plug them into such as input 1,2 3 and so on. On my model I have to select the AV input for the red yellow and white plugs, HDMI inputs are aslo marked the same way. Bottom line is what ever device you have plugged in with the video jacks you will most likely have to select the input your hooked up to unless your recorder senses the signal and automatically selects it for you.

C how can I conect my loptop to the mixer so i can play the music from my computer

To connect your laptop to your mixer, first you need to buy a mini plug to 2-RCA cable, like the one in the figure below:

mike_lm_2.jpg
Then connect the two RCA plugs to one channel, using the inputs marked LINE or CD, as shown by the red arrows in the figure below:

mike_lm_3.jpg
Let us say that you already have two CD units connected to channels 1 and 2. Connect the cable mentioned above to the two RCA jacks of Channel 3.

Now, connect the mini plug to the sound output of your laptop (it should be merked LINE OUT, PHONES or have the symbol of a phone close to it). If the output is dinamically addressed, i.e., the sound driver pops up a windows asking what have you connected to that input, please mark the answer that indicates LINE OUT or HEADPHONES (or something related, but not LINE IN or MICROPHONE).

Adjust your laptop volume to LOW. Switch on your mixer, select the channel you connected the laptop and increase its volume. Put a song in your laptop to play and raise its volume little by little, till you have a good level of sound with no distortion

A word of caution: If you adjust the laptop volume to maximum, distortion could occur, so experiment with the laptop volume to find the best level.

Hope this info may help you!

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

I have no picture but hear the sound of the system on my tv

It could be 3 things:

Your tv connections are disconnected and need to be replaced. See if anything else works when plugged into these connections.

Your cable cord could have a disconnect internally and the cord needs replaced.

Your graphics card on you XBOX 360 is shot any you need to replace it.

Good luck and please rate my solution accordingly.

What channel do you use for a DVD player? It won't "see" any channels that doesn't have a program on it.

If your dvd player has 3 plugs red white and yellow plug them into the slots marked av. the colors will correspond with whats on your tv inputs. then turn the tv to the av setting according to the av number you have the plugs in either av1 or av2 you should now see dvd player logo.

Can't play video on the TV

You need to change the "input" source of the TV to match the input where you plugged in the video cable(usually marked yellow) to. The input may be labeled "aux 1" or "aux 2" for example. There is usually a button on the remote to do this or it will be accessible in the TV menu. You should then have your video playing on the TV.

Can't find the channel for my N64

Is your cable RCA, S-Video, or Coaxial? If it's coaxial, check and see if the channel is to 3 or 4. If it's RCA or S-Video, check which slot it's plugged into on your TV. Most likely, the cable's dead, as I've had to replace mine a good 4 times.

Got a tv and it has a german plug. The plug was changed to a regular one and with an antanea it only plays 2 channels. If hooked up to cable will it play those channels through cable?

I don't see why it wouldn't unless the cable plug on the TV is bad or the circuit that goes to that plug. Get cable and try it or take it to a friends house that has cable and see if it works

DVD plays only in black and white

Hey, I had this problem on Thanksgiving Day, trying to watch a dvd on my mother's HDTV. You should be able to hook up most standard dvd players to hdtvs. First you have 3 cords, mine were red, yellow, and white. The connections go as follows:

HDTV:
Audio| Component. The white cord should be in a white audio slot. The yellow cord should be in a yellow component slot (video) and the red cord should be in a red video component slot labeled Pr/Cr. Make sure you match the component numbers. For instance, if you want to use component one, then hook all of the cords into the slots for component one. Most hdtvs have multiple component hookups ( think multiple "channels" for your game system, dvd player, etc) so it's important that the corresponding cords go to the correct component slots.

DVD:
Match the yellow and white cords to the appropriately colored slots. The red cord should go into the slot labeled component video out Cr/Pr. Not the red audio out. This worked for me. Hope this helps.
