Some time ago I downloaded 'Drakes Fortune' wallpaper from the Playstation Store. Under Theme settings (Background) there is no option to delete the wallpaper as I do not want it anymore. I have even tried restoring the factory settings but it still remains! Any help to delete this would be appreciated.

Unless you know the password they used you would need to completely re-initialize the unit as it was a new one, from the beginning, to wipe it out completely and set it back to factory defaults (sledge-hammer reset).
There is no way I know of to retrieve this lost password if you do not also know the owner's PSN information, which I'm sure you cannot get to. You might Google the question.
go to a website that caters psp themes, you can google it if you want, then download the themes, save it on your mem stick, make sure that you copied it on the correct folder, you will see a theme folder. disconnect you psp, then go to settings on your psp then theme settings, there you will see your installed theme.
Theme preference file used by the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP); stores settings for the wallpaper, icons, and sounds used for the PSP interface; can be modified using the "Theme Settings" option on the PSP.
To use the .CTF Themes you need to download the plugin called cxmb.prx
1. Download the plugin (cxmb.prx) 2. Extract the file and place into root of your MS0:/ 3. Put the theme file (any name you like :)) under MS0:/PSP/THEME/ 4. Enable cxmb.prx in Recovery (under VSH) 5. Go to Settings -> Theme Settings -> Theme to select your CTF themes 6. System will reboot to take effect To Use the .PTF Themes download it first then put it insidems:/PSP/THEME. if the folder is not there please create it. To apply the theme on your PSP, go to “Settings” => “Theme Settings” => “Theme”.
The user manual is available here;
goto page 102 (Theme Settings) and change the "Wallpaper" to off.
Hope this helps :)
p.s. the manual is for software version 2.70 which is the one previous to the latest. If your version has different theme menu, please ask again.
