It is a crt 17"

if its a cathode ray display its got vertical scan problems then its the line timebase more than likely a resistor gone high value or a leaky capacitor take the board out and have a good look for burnt out resistors and printed circuit damage change any electrolytic capacitors

Acer crt monitor green light is ok but there is no display. but some time when i start computer it displays xp logo then goes away. i tried monitor with anoter pc but it still the same problem.

sounds like some of the components inside the monitor are becoming defective...the fact that you said some times you get a screen for a while then it goes away indicates a component is changing value when power is applied and shutting down the monitor...probably a capacitor in the power supply...best bet is to get a new monitor, as service rates would exceed the cost of a new or used one

My problem is, how can i know the value of a damage capacitor which is exploded, innovision mag crt monitor..

Hi,
For your information there is no value of a damage capacitor. It may damage transistor. So there is a complicated network of caps and coils with relay switch. You have to removed each cap and checked it for short, open, and correct capacitance. Replace the capacitor soon. Purchase a compatible capacitor and solder it.

LG 17" 700E CRT MONITOR MOSFET 2N10 IS Immediately BURN OR SHORT WHEN SWITH ON THE MONITOR..

this might be the problem of the disk capacitor of value 2kv, which is located at the horizontal section, i.e from the collector of horizontal output transistor.

Monitor is dark

I assume that 'clears' means brightens?

The cathode heater is often supplied with a filtered DC voltage of 6-12 volts.

Often, there is a capacitor on a board plugged directly on the base of the CRT and if this fails, its capacitance becomes unstable and insufficient to adequately filter the voltage and supply clean DC.
In some monitors, the capacitor may be on the main board instead of the base of the CRT.

A technician should locate (not difficult) the CRT heater pins if not marked, and determine where the filter capacitor is located, measure it for capacitance and replace it if needed.

The value is normally many times what is required to clean up the DC but this type of part can (and will) break down chemically and its value will shrink to a very small value while its losses climb.
Eventually, this results in the effect you describe.

I could still make out 68 over 2kv on the burnt capacitor. Replaced with a 680 pf 2kv that I bought at a local TV repair shop. works great.

Philips 107E66

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
