Hi. You are going to need two things for this to work. First, you need a wireless router, these usually run about $50-$60. Then after you get the router, you need a wireless usb adapter, so that the xp computer can receive the signal from the router.
Connect the lan cable from the cable modem that is currently attached to the vista computer to the router, then connect a lan cable from the router to the vista computer.
The xp computer is easier. After you have the router hooked up, just plug the usb adapter into the xp computer, install any software that comes with it, and after it install the drivers it will be able to connect to your router, and have wireless internet.
Make sure that you know the name of your router, that way you are connecting to the right one.
Hi Mr. Bruk There is issue with USB Driver which is not installed on your Laptop You just installed USB driver First and tri again I am sore it’s detecting your CDMA USB Modem. Thanks & Regard Abhay Singh
the usb modem you are using is compatible with windows vista but for that u need to install the driver software ie sxc 1080 vista dialer 32 bits . you can download this software from the tataindicom site which is www.tataindicom.com. windows 98 and vista have different software compatibility.
Hi I'm Sathiya. I use Windows Vista Home Basic platform. I recently bought a TATA Indicom Plug to Surf connection. It had issues with drivers. I went to Tata indicom site and downloaded the latest driver for Vista. After installing the drivers, my connection is working fine. Make sure that you choose the right version.
have you tried using your laptop somewhere else? like a hotspot cafe... if you still feel the lagg. it might be your drivers. but if there is no lagg, you might want to check with tata usb. an update or upgrade.
