Question about Nikon D70s Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a brand new Nikon D60 to replace my D50 that was stolen. However, I'm having real problems getting my PC to recognise it and cannot get the photographs on to the PC. The software has uploaded no problem but there seems to be an issue with the drive. My PC simply isn't recognising the camera and says that it cannot install the appropriate drive for some gobbledegook reason. Tried all the troubleshooting solutions in vain. Help!!!!

Thanks for that. None of the USB connections recognise the camera but I've bought a card reader (for the very first time with any camera!) and that has done the trick.

The Nikon software can go in the bin now like most camera software in the past.

Have you try different USB connections?
are you connecting the camera directly to the computer or putting out the Memory card/? if so, try a different card reader

I have a Nikon D50 which has not been used for over a year but has had very little use from new. There is no image viewable after taking a picture only the numbered frame where the image should be. I tried...

Make sure that your battery is fully charged. Check the card in a card reader on a computer and see whether it has black photos. If that is the case, either the shutter is not opening or the imaging sensor has gone bad.

What digital nikon cam works autofocus in a nikkor micro AF 105mm f/2.8D?

This lens lacks the autofocus motor, so it will only autofocus on cameras with the motor. This lens will autofocus on every Nikon digital SLR except for the D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D3100, D5000, and D5100. It will autofocus with the D1 family, D2 family, D3 family, D50, D70, D70s, D80, D90, D100, D200, D300, D300s, and D700 (I hope I haven't left any out).

Memory not working in my D50.

The D50 will only accept up to a 2gb SD card. Cards of 4gb and larger are a newer type of SD card, known as SDHC (secure digital high capacity). At the time the D50 was made, SDHC cards weren't on the market. In short, if it is larger than 2gb it won't work. There's also no upgrade that I've found to handle SDHC cards in the D50, either. I love my D50, except for the card limitation.

CANT VIEW PHOTOS ON MY PC

TURN OFF CAMERA. TURN ON PC. CONNECT USB TO CAMERA AND THEN PC. TURN ON CAMERA. PC SHOULD ALERT THAT NEW HARDWARE BEING INSTALLED (D-60). WAIT UNTIL COMPLETE. GO TO "MY COMPUTER" CLICK ON D-60 THAT SHOULD REGISTER AS A DRIVE. OPEN FILE OF D-60. CLICK UNTIL PHOTOS APPEAR. COPY PHOTOS TO NEW FILE IN "MY DOCUMENTS /MY PICTURES" CLICK ON PHOTOS. WINDOWS SHOULD SHOW YOUR PHOTOS. OK?

If it still works there is not a real problem, cause the sensor is probably still okay:) you can go to canon store and try to replace the screen..

I am interested in buying Nikon's new digital D60 camera what i need to know is if I can use all the Nikon lenses I have that fit my 35mm camers

The D60 works best with their new "DX" series lenses. Other Nikon mount lenses will fit on the camera, however you will lose many of the functions, primarily auto focus. You need to weigh the pros & cons of using your existing lenses without full functions, vs. maybe looking at the D80 model or a gently used D50, D70 or D70s, all of which will work better with earlier generation lenses.

Nikon d50 continuos shooting

Should an answer be given ??? TRY ANOTHER APPROVED MEMORY CARD. If the problem clears it's the card. If it doesn't it's either the camera or you haven't set up the camera correctly. READ THE MANUAL.
