TV turns off. Sometimes it turns off soon after turning it on and other times it turns off after an hour or two; It turns off at random. I find myself having to unplug it from the outlet and reconnecting to have it turn on again.

Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the board that the power cord is hooked to.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again. So far I have fixed four of the same make, and model TV as this, and they all had either one,or two bad capacitors.I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!

You may want to check the below article for a wide list of Sanyo models exhibiting "random turn off" problem along with repair options for them.

All in all the first thing you need in order to get meaningful help is providing information about which particular model and chassis is your TV.

Both are on the label at the back.

Hi i have an orion 24in led tv, I use it for my Xbox. So basically before it used to work fine but now it sometimes goes to standby mode and then comes on. sometimes this happens once in an hour and...

You have a bad "signal board".Some call this the main board. In this case the T-con board is in the signal board (main board) and not a separate board,as other TVs have. You will need to replace the board that has been reworked. A new replacement board will fail. Visit and ask for a reworked board. Thanks for asking. Matt of Martins TV Repair.

Our cable company just went digital. Since then, we have started having a problem with our 4 year old tv. The screen freezes then goes black at random times. We turn the tv off and back on and it is fine...

First thought would be to have a service call scheduled to check your signal at the TV. The cable co will meter it out. Some companies can do it via phone conversation. I would venture a solid guess that's your problem. Hope this helps. If you still have an issue, post a comment and I can help you troubleshoot further.

You have a bad LVDS cable (or two). It's a well known issue on these (I do warranty repairs on these for a living). It's not an easy repair job, but any qualified TV repair place should be able to repair it in about 1.5 hours. Parts should run about $50.

Vizio LCD 37 Inch Turns Off Randomly

I had a similar problem with my 32 inch plasma tv. I called vizio's
1 800 number and the guy said to unplug the tv from the wall and hold down the power button for a minute and then plug the tv back in outlet and turn on. And it works I guess from what I understood from his heavy accent was that the tv retains power and this resets it somehow. hope that was helpfull!!
