Strange problems My wife's 2003 honda accord is acting strange. First, the tcs light is staying on. And the brake light on the dashboard is staying on. I checked the fluid level for the brake system- it was full. We just got new brake pads put on 4 months ago. -- While looking at this stuff, I tried to turn her car off, but the fan kicked on. So I started it back up, let it run, and turned it off. Then the fan kicked back on. Couldn't get the fan to turn off. (turned off ignition and pulled key out) I turned just the battery on, then turned it off 3 times and now the fan finally quit. --- What do you think is going on and how much should it cost (estimating)?? Thank you.

How to get the tcs light to go off on a 2001 honda accord

If the light stays on, there is a problem with the system that is preventing it from working. You'll need to have someone check the engine and body computers for trouble codes next.

TCS light and Brake light stay on.

The main reason the TCS light is on is because there is a problem with the main brake system. The traction control system uses the hydraulic brakes to help keep the car on the road in a skid or other event.
If the main brake system is faulty, the TCS can't do its job.
The hydraulic brake system may be working fine in your case, but the TCS does not know that.
I wonder if that low fluid switch can be bought separately ??

Abs & TCS-off dash lights both stay on. Pushing the TCS off switch does not help. "seem" to stop fine. Emergency brake seems to be fully off, not dragging. My wife encountered a patch of ice...

Hello: If there is a problem in the ABS it will bring on the tcs light as well. To determine what is causing the problem you need to have the ABS checked with a scanner to get the code. Then trouble shoot the components that the code leads you to. Normal braking is available with the light on but TCS is not as it relies on ABS for functioning the TCS.

My brake light stays on steady but the fluid level is good and I just had my brakes serviced w/new pads etc...what could be the problem?

There is a mechanical switch on the parking brake which also turns on the dashboard brake light. it may be defective or need replacement.

My 2004 Honda Accord Brake and TCS light stays on. I was told that I need to replace the sensor in order for my brakes and traction control system to function cordinally. Is that correct or can other...

I will assume you know there is a button on the dash to turn the TCS on and off. Make sure that button has not been pushed. The brake light can be on due to worn brake pads or low fluid level. If the TCS is not turned off then I suggest you take the car to a trusted mechanic or to your local Honda dealer and have it looked at. It takes skill, knowledge, and the proper tools to diagnose this type problem. It can be many things including a sensor, and you can spend lots of money guessing. Spend the money to have it repaired by someone who knows what they are doing. You will be money ahead and have it done right the first time.
