My i/o magic 320GB hard drive is screwing up. It says it has to be formatted... so I tried. Now I can't even get ANYTHING to work with it. It won't even register. All that information is gone on it.

I accidentally reformat my removable hard disk, i need help on how to recover all lost data.

All your files are still stored on the removable hard drive. They're just invisible or inaccessible. You can recover them with data recovery software.

I used this one to recover files from my formatted external hard drive and it worked. Anyway, you can download it and scan your removeable hard drive for free to preview whether you can recover your data.
Hope this help!

Multiple hard crashes. reformated hd. near end of os load, got "hard error" message. Looking for concurrence of HD being shot or could it be other problem. CD

When this happens it is always the hard drive going.gone faulty. I recommend you replace the hard drive. But first, try a full format, from a Boot CD/DVD, that can be used to format, like Partition Magic, or get UBCD, this too has formatting tools, try that one last thing before giving up and getting a new drive.

Hard drive continue to clicks, message to hit F2 to configure.

If you have a clicking hard drive and the system gives a F2 to continue but will not boot, most likely you have a hard drive failure.
Boot to the BIOS (F2 at boot) reset the defaults and save, see if anything changes.
Most likely, you will be replacing the drive

These are actually ccore flash drives, shipped with the name "Kingston". YOU CAN FORMAT ANY ZIP DRIVE WITH "HP USB DISK STORAGE FORMAT TOOL". Trust me, it really does the needful. I had the same problem earlier =)

Is this a USB hard drive?
If so do any USB devices work?
Check Disk Manager (STart Menu - My Computer - right-click - Manage - DIsk Manager) - Can you see hard disk?
If so right cick on hard disk and set a drive letter for it in Disk Manager.
