What type of car was this installed into? If the car has a factory installed pre-amp this is your problem, It needs to be bypassed if this is the case, this common on ford's and mercury's with the preimum sound package aswell as many other cars. .If the car does not have a factory pre-amp then check your white/gray/purple/green wires as these are the speaker connections.

That's strange isn't it. Have you checked the connections on the speakers themselves? Is it possible that the person that sold you the car had some good speakers in there, which they took out and just threw the stock speakers in place without actually hooking them up? Not much else I can think of other than blown outputs on the head unit, but it just worked in your other car so this is unlikely.

I hooked up a new head unit in my 1999 jeep Cherokee everything comes on and plays but I have no sound?? We're do I hook up the wire from that white 2 prong clip

new, as in used head that does not match your car
which head, it has a model name
if if you google that name , the wiring is documented on vast sites.
all are.
some heads use an external amp.
what car did your HEAD com from. year, model
many car models have 3 choices new. or more.
cant guess any if that.
your car, or donor car.
tell model of old head and new.
then magic happens.

I Hooked up my new stereo and cant get any sound. I put the factory Bose back in and the sound works. Hooked up my new stereo to another car and it has sound. Can anyone tell me Why im not getting sound...

If you had a "Bose" sound system - Factory installed - it should have and Amplified System - which means the original stereo will supply power to the Speaker Amps - that is the circuit that didn't get connected and why there is no sound.
I hope that resolves your issue
Thanks

if your old surround has either optical or coaxial connections you should be fine. if not you'll have to go with the audio in jacks (video 1,2 etc.) you'll get sound but not true 5.1 sound

My alpine v12 turns on but no sound

no you don't have to hook up both of the power terminals. but should have it hooked up so you get the proper power to the amp. use a disubution block with two 8 gauge wires.

do you know if the radio's rca jack's are good? have you ever had another amp in the car? if it worked before try new rca's from the radio to amp. recheck all connections from amp to speakers and make sure no wires fell off.

No sound comming from car speakers

What kind of car? What kind of system? More details will help me assist you better. If it is an aftermarket in-dash stereo, it sounds like the blue/white wire is not hooked up correctly. This powers up the car's amplifier and lets the sound through.
