845gvsr support
single-sided or double-sided DIMMs (ddr333/266/200 or pc2600 or pc2100 or pc1600) up to 2GB check ur RAM FSB (it mustbe 333mhz or 266mhz or 200mhz).
it its within this speed then cleare cmos by removeing cmos battery then install ram and start ur pc. if problem not solve then try with other good known ram (ddr333 or ddr 266 or ddr200). if problem solve then ur ram module r faulty.
(plese give me feedback)

DDR200=PC1600
DDR266=PC2100
DDR333=PC2600

thanks

you need to clear CMOS by removing power cable and CMOS battery or jumper. pls test .remove the rams and check beeps by buzzer.
also good to change graphic card or use post diagnostic card anf test signal.
if no post code there are errors in cpu section or bios problem

Bios Clean

Somewhere on the motherboard you must have 3 pins called CMOS . You must take of the jumper from initially position and moved to other one position. ex. if the jumper is bee twin 1 & 2 changed to 2 & 3 or reverse . this for 5 sec, with power off . change back to initially position and start PC. CMOS must be clean ( default ).

It sounds like you need to change a BIOS setting. I don't have this MoBo, but on others there is a toggle to make the integrated graphics primary or secondary. You would need to change it to secondary. On this card this should happen automatically - so check BIOS settings and that your new card is properly seated in the slot.

From http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-022225.htm
Installing External Graphics Cards
If you want to install a 3rd party external graphics card instead of using the onboard graphics, follow these steps:
  1. Install the 3rd party external graphics card, following the installation instructions that come with the card.
  2. Integrated graphics is automatically turned off.

BIOS is not updating, each time system boots it begins "press F2 to load default values". I have also replaced cmos battery with a new one.. Please help how to fix this.

This usually occurs due to bad cmos battery but since you have changed the battery you should check that the bios reset jumpers are in the right position not in the reset position. If they are in the reset position then they reset the bios every time you start your computer.

Hope that helps.

Cannot change cmos settings.

Try this.
Open case somewhere on motherboard will be (reset BIOS) or word to that effect. it will be a small 2 pin connector with a jumper on 1 pin connect the jumper across both pins for 30 seconds remove jumper fit back over 1 pin (not get lost) reboot your BIOS should have reset to default hope this helps post comment if does please

CMOS Checksum error.

the only thing i can think of is when you changed the battery somehow the board terminals positive negative are not in proper contact with battery
did you try resetting bios by the pins on the motherboard
somewhere on the board is printed bios reset or words to the effect
most times it is a 2 pin connector with a jumper only on 1 pin connect the jumper across both pins remove and try to reboot
hope this helps

Try RAM with a different speed. My 800 mhz RAM didn't work until I installed 533 mhz RAM and adjusted to 800 mhz in BIOS. Newly built PC, default must be set as 533 mhz because I reset the CMOS and still couldn't POST to BIOS. Only taking out all RAM gave me any sort of audible error code. Luckily I found some 533 RAM before I RMA'd the board.

Bios setup problem at booting.

Make sure the BIOS Configuration Jumper is in the 'Normal' position (pins 1 and 2) and not in the Config position (pins 2 and 3). It is located near the battery at the corner of the board. The Manual and Config information can be found here.

beeps on motherboard can mean 3 things: 1. memory out (or corupted) 2. vga card out (or corupted) 3. mother board is corupted try to take out the memory and the vga card and place them back on you can go and read you motherboard manual and look exactly what 3 beeps means..
