Go to this web site. It is supposed to have a copy of the manual of your discontinued unit.

Hope this gets you what you want.

SOURCE: danby dpac 10071 air conditioner is not cooling.

That indicates that the water collection bucket is full and needs to be drained. Once the unit is turned OFF, unplugged and drained, the unit will start up and start cooling again. The drain hole is on the rear of the unit, just above floor level. You can either drain it in a shallow sided pan capable of holding 1 quart of water. Or roll it to a floor drain or outside to drain it.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Cant find manual. How do you adjust tempature on this ? Thank you

First make sure that the unit is in Cool mode. (Press the Mode button: the choices are Cool, Dehumidify, Fan and Auto. You will see the mode at the top of the LCD display - Cool to the left and Auto above the temperature display) Then press the + or - buttons (or the up/down arrows on the remote) to reach the temperature that you want the unit to maintain. If you press both the up and down buttons together, the current set temperature will display for about 5 seconds. Then you can set the unit back into the Auto mode so that the mode and fan will switch on as needed.

Danby has the manual for the DPAC7099 on their site: http://www.danby.com/product/DPAC7099/4 . See the Literature tab. The direct link is http://www.danby.ca/cms/uploads/products/en_manual/dpac7099_web.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I need to replace a hose on a Danby portable airconditioner model # DPAC120068

The first place to start is with the manufacturer, Danby 800-496-6049. Or take a section of the hose with you and go to your nearest home center and purchase a similar hose (same diameter) and use all the existing fittings that you have, to remount it with the new hose. There are several types available that will work well for this type of application and probably last longer than the original hose did.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Honeywell DT200 thermostat is not responding to any buttons pressed. Display is showing small flame icon on left of screen and what looks like a battery in top right hand corner. Any suggestions?

The thermostat is calling for heat, and the battery icon means that the batteries are low and should be replaced. If the thermostat is wired to run on battery power alone, replacing the batteries usually corrects this problem. Hope this helps! Jim

What is the button to heat up my room?

Open the cover on the remote, to the top left (usually) there is a single button which if pressed repeatedly, changes the mode settings. This can also be seen by changing icons on the display. The first is an ice crystal, second tear drop, third a triangle with a moon, fourth is a sun. Press until you have the sun icon in the display area. Then close the remote and using the up arrow and down arrow buttons select the temperature which is comfortable for you.

Cant make it blow out hot air.

You do not mention the model. Most aircon remotes have a mode button which has three or four icons. On cooling there will be a ice crystal icon on the lcd display. Pressing the mode button (sometimes behind a cover on the remote) this icon will change. You want to set it to the "sun" shaped icon

I recently encountered the same issue. First off, with the external tank installed is there an icon on the display panel indicating the tank is installed?

No? Then the two sensors are not picking up the magnets in the the "arms" on the back of the tank. It's a poor design for sure, on my unit the tank does not sit flush enough to the back of the AC, if I held the tank firmly to the back the icon would come on. I just used a bit of cardboard at the bottom of the support tray to press the tank firmly to the back of the AC.

Theory is as the external tank fills up, water will run into the "arms" and raise the magnets tripping the switch which tells the unit it needs emptying. But the magnets in the arms are not strong enough if they are not close enough to the sensors. So my cardboard solution lasted only one tank.

I ended up getting some flat neodymium magnets (that I scavenged out of a hard drive), and taped to the sensor that had the gap. I wouldn't recommend doing this to both sensors since it would eventually overfill, only one sensor needs to "trip" for the compressor to turn off.

If you answered yes to the first question (the bucket icon is there), then it's most likely the pump not working on the internal reservoir, or something related to that. Can't help you there...
