Why when I had a open window and it started flickering it had never done that before and it hasn't again? why did it do that?

You should purchase a security program like Norton 360 or Kaspersky. These have come down a lot in price and it is much cheaper to buy one of these strong high feature security programs than have some paid professional try and remove masses of malware and virus on your machine.

If you are really poor then you can load these free programs
1. Microsoft Security Essentials (google it and it comes up for download but ONLY download this from the Microsoft site and never from any 3rd party site.) This is a very good product.

2. AVG anti virus free edition.
http://www.avg.com/au-en/free-antivirus-download
This is limited in scope. If you want the full deal you need buy the program with all the features.

3. There are many bogus suppliers out there offering free security type software or malware removal; and virus removal programs for your machine. Never down load any of these as they will cause more problems and you will have problems uninstalling them. AVG is safe though.

Hope this helps.

How do i uninstall avg 2014?

Sounds like you installed the AVG Security Suite instead of the AVG Antivirus Free. Go to Control Panel - Open "Programs and Features" and you should see the program listed there. Right click the program and choose Uninstall. Once uninstalled, restart your computer, download AVG Antivirus Free and install it.

Hope this helps...

How can I remove a virus?

Ok. To remove a virus, use some verified software that can be downloaded open source (free!) at no cost. Just download the software, then click scan. Here are my list of recommended software + price (Search on Google):
PC Doctor (Free version free, paid version more protection) AVG Antivirus (Same with PC Doctor) Avast! Antivirus (Paid) Symantec (Paid) Norton Antivirus (Paid)

I've got a virus on my inlaws dell. It keeps

Remove any previously installed Spyware programs / download Malwarebytes Anti malware update off internet / disable Antivirus program and install.

Go to safe mode and access Malwarebytes / run through and remove all offending programs. Run a couple of times. Then reboot and run in windows.

AVG free edition should do the trick, but the safest way to get rid of a virus is reformatting your hard drive.

Trying to install some downloaded software called “The Shield Deluxe 2009” (a antivirus etc program) on to my Acer laptop that is running with Vista. A message says “The system administrator has set...

I will advise you to use AVG or Norton instead of a Shield Deluxe 2009.

As it is not good one and not updated regularly with the definiton, (my own experience with this and my clients) Often creating problem with the system even to crash.!!

If you have not paid for it yet, then better to switch over with a Better Anti virus. (a freeware is also good as AVG 8.0 without paid )

RECOMMENDED AVG

There is a reason they are known as AOHell in the computer trade.
I know you have paid for McAfee but you are better off without it, McAfee will be a major drain on your system resources slowing your computer down.
Try and get your money back for McAfee and download the free version of AVG 8.0. This new version of AVG comes with lots of extra security enhancements not just antivirus.
You can download AVG 8.0 free here:

There are plenty of reasons not to install McAfee and if you are interested you can read about them here:

Yes you need to uninstall any and all antivirus programs installed on your computer. After uninstalling, make sure to reboot your computer. Do that for each antivirus or internet security software you have installed. Once done, it Norton 360 should install. If you have troubles uninstalling AVG, check their support area on their website. I'm not sure if you have a paid version or the free version but here are the sites for both.

Installing avg 8.0

AVG is free for home users. Why would you pay for it? To install it you only need to download it from the web site and install it. If you paid for it, you will be prompted to put in your serial number when you install it. Maybe you have a bad download. Have you tried to download it again? Are you using VISTA OR XP. Vista will block you sometimes if you do not shut off all of the controls that it has. Even though you are the administrator, Vista blocks you from doing certain things. This is a glitch in Vista. Try shutting off the firewall and the user account setting that blocks people from doing anything. The error code that you gave is only for AVG people and we have no way of telling you what it means. When is this error code coming up? Is it a blue screen or what. It is hard to answer that kind of question unless we know what steps you took before it showed up. I have never had any problem with AVG since the first version came out. Can you give us more information?
