Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse
This evening I have replaced the batteries in the cordless laser mouse and attempted to reconnect the mouse. On the back of the keyboard are diagrams showing that I should press the connect button on the corded unit and then the connect button on the mouse. I can not get this to work. Could you please direct me to a more detailed explanation of the procedure to do this? ie should I hold buttons for a certain amount of time? first one and then the other? or both together? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might also try a hard reset
1. remove batteries from all your units
2. let them sit there for 20 minutes. This will let any charge in the circuitry dissipate, so no settings or buggy stuff is left in the unit
3. assuming your computer is on and the cordless receiver unit is connected to a USB port directly on the computer, hold the connect button on the receiver for 20 seconds. This will erase any settings in the receiver.
4. Wait 20 seconds
5. reinsert batteries into keyboard and/or mouse
6. Press the connect button on your cordless receiver unit
7. Press the connect button on your mouse
8. Press the connect button on your cordless receiver unit
9. Press the connect button on your keyboard
It should then work again.

Well having had a similar problem with a Logitech mouse and doing just what you did with no luck, I would recommend either you reinstall the driver it came with or upgrade it, you should be able to find your appropriate driver just chose your model that is appropriate for your system. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/&cl=us,en

If the mouse is a Bluetooth wireless mouse, which by the way you describe the instructions for reconnecting it sounds like it could be the case, you press the buton on the corded reciever unit first, wait a few seconds and press the button on the mouse. This should synchronize your mouse and your PC.
in order to give you more details than that, i would need to know the model of mouse you're using.

Oh I just fixed my own problem after posting!! Might not help for everyone as my solution was simple............... I just restarted the computer - they both sync'd up straight away after i pushed the sync buttons! :)
