Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

6310 Officejet all in one

My printer will not print anything on the internet. Otherwise it works fine.

    I do not get any errors. I am using Internet Explorer ( I believe it is IE 7) and I have vista on my Dell pc. My HP 6310 All In One worked fine until about 6 weeks ago. When I try to print by using "file print" all I get is a small icon in the right hand lower corner showing a printer. When I highlight it, it says 0 documents pending. I can print from my documents or word pad, but can not print anything on line or my email.

    1. Do you get an error? If so please post details.

    2. Are you running Internet explorer or another browser?

    3. If running IE what version EI6, IE7?

    4. Are you trying to print using the "printer" incon on the tool bar or by "file, print"

Are you running AVG 8 free anti Virus? Did you install it recently? There are some reports that AVG 8 free version has some issues causing this to happen with VISTA. If so try printing with AVG turned off (Careful where you go on the internet while it is off - suggest a trusted site like microsoft)

Then try with AVG running and disable IE7 protected mode,

Click Tools, then click Internet Options.

  1. Click the Security tab.
  2. To disable Protected Mode uncheck the box next to Enable Protected Mode to disable it.
  3. Click OK.
Note: Enabling or disabling protected mode requires Internet Explorer to be restarted

If it is AVG causing the issue perhaps try and see if they have a later version available as it is not recommended to run with protected mode disabled

hello, some of the time the color ink cartridge can cause the problem, especially if its a refilled ink, but at same time, i do know some of the new inks right out of the box will fail. so try with a new color cartridge first.

it require servicing if you can apply the any lubricant on the steel rod inside the printer it will fix your problem if it is not then i advice you to show it to service center.

Hp 6310 show offline wont print


Hi, how do you connect to the printer? USB/parallel/Network? Does it prints fine if you print an information page from the printer display/butons? I would try to uninstall the printer driver and install it again to start. It's definately a communication problem so it may take a few tries to get it to work again.

HP 6310 AIO Won't Print HTML Documents


Thought that I'd report that I fixed my printer. I named my printer wrong btw. It is an hp deskjet F340 All in One.
  • Go to the Tools and select Internet Options. Then go to the Programs tab. Select Set Programs then Set Defaults and then Set Program Associations. Select Internet Explorer.
  • Go to the Tools and select Internet Options. Then go to the Advanced tab. Select Restore Advanced Settings. Restart Internet Explorer and try to print again.
It did not work when I removed the windows updates. I also tried this online help and it did not work. HP suggested that I install Firefox. I did not like this option so I'm glad my fix worked for me.

Officejet 6310 won't turn on.


Ok try unplugging the printer for about 15 minutes and plug it back in that will reset the printer and it should work fine.
Let me know how it works out

The machine won't start properly


It's thinking that you want to print photo's.
Check the memmory slots on the left to see if there is anything in there if there is pull it out.
Also check to see if a camera is connected to it.

6310 HP Officejet All-in-One Printer


menu window shows "shutting down...." but does not respond to anything. We cannot even turn printer off. Will not respond to any key. Help.
(Plus we misplaced our manual!)
