Sound is not working. Headphones would work just fine but the built-in speakers stopped working. try to update and reinstall the drivers. The speakers would sometimes work for a second when removed the headphone jack. sometimes it was a short in the jack connection or just a bad connector in the jack. Sooo, just plugg in the headphone jack a bunch of times and after about 20 seconds the speakers will work just fine.

Audio sound device is not clear. //// intel motherboard dg31rp model system

hi..
There are various possible causes of the problems that occurred, including the problem of software drivers, operating system problems or problems of hardware (audio card)
do an audit to identify the problem occurred.
1 - remove the old driver and then reinstall the driver for audio card.
2 - you can make two choices if you want to reinstall the operating system or perform a test by installing new audio card.
(the installation of the operating system / format, is to ensure that the operating system is
100% working )

Speakers will not make sound. all cords are connected. computer doesn't show that any sound device is present

After reinstalling/installing an Operating System you can lose the Audio Drivers or sometimes they just corrupt.. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the disk provide with your P.C./Laptop. If you no longer have the disk just visit the website of the makers of your P.C./Laptop or Motherboard and download the Audio Drivers from there, after that install them.
Thumbs up please if this works for you, thanks.

No sound from built-in speakers, but OK when I connect external after reinstalling XP. XP Pro SP 3. Realtek HD Audio Manager.

This is because of the Operating System XP as there are no drivers for the inbuilt speakers.Install Operating System Vista and im sure it will work after that.
