You might find this site helpful. Your exact Model is not there but an MT is there with instructions on LCD replacement. It may be close enough to get you through if you're good at fixing things. Gateway does ot provide Service Manuals online and their User Manuals don't cover LCD replacement.
A 'mass storage device' is any device on which files can be stored (HD,

ports as such, but may indeed be for a storage device that plugs into a
USB port (card-reader, external HD). For a laptop, it may be for a
built-in card-reader which is connected internally to the USB bus.

proper drivers specific to your machine, as you may be trying to use

If the power indicator is flashing that means that it's getting power, but there is not enough power, the first thing you should do is check the adapter power supply with a multimeter and make sure that it's outputing the correct power, if it's not then you need to replace the adapter. If it's then it's more complex.
