Question about Coleman Electric Cooler 40 Beverage Cooler
I am a big rig driver so for me a working refrigerator is a matter of survival. For a year and a half my Coleman Electric Cooler 40 was doing fine, but for a month now it is cooling less and less. There is no ice buildup, both fans seem to blow as usual but the cooling is decreasing day by day. Is there anything else but the fans that ages in the system. Actually what is the principal it works on to start with?
You may also want to ensure that the fan that removes hot air from the Peltier module is indeed spinning quickly and not sluggishly. As stated before dust can affect the efficiency of the Peltier Module.
An easy way to find out if your fan motor is worn is to turn the cooler on while watching the fan (with goggles on to protect the eyes!) if it starts off slowly and takes a while to get up to speed you should probably look in to replacing the fan motor.
