the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

1st of all I would recommend doing a system restore to see if that will take care of your issue.
2nd if that doesn't work, if you bought the extended warranty from the store you bought it at you should take it back to that store, if you didn't then Sony warranties for 1 year and that it would be a good idea to send it to them. Good Luck! I hope this helps.
NOTE: A system restore will delete all data on your console. I recommend backing up your console onto a usb flash drive.
Hi the problem is not your end everybody else is having the same problem, sony are having some down time at the minute to update their servers and software so just bare with them for a couple of hours and it will be back on shortly. dont try changing any settings as the problem is their end not yours
let me know if you need further assistance or if it still not working in a couple of hours.
their are loads of people asking the same question in the last hour so you are not the only one, you could try going to the sony ps3 web site and check on their for any down time,
ill check myself now and post a message when i find something out ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
i have just got through to sony and they are doing maintenance on the network so just bare with them and it should be back on shortly ok
This means it's loading your Game Data. There's nothing wrong with this appearing on the screen, it's common and simply indicates that it's loading your last saved state.
If it's stuck on that for a long period of time and not taking you into the game, then you need to go into the Saved Data Utility on your PS3 and delete your saved data file for Gran Turismo 5. Something might be corrupt.
Gran Turismo 5 uses a lot of the PS3's power, so having longer than average load times doesn't mean something is wrong with your PS3.
downloaded the latest update for ps3 3.5 and then when i turned it on it usually signs me in automatically but i had to put in my password so i put it in but it says wrong password or sign-in ID so i went on forgot password and it goes to a different screen and says 'an error has occured. Hey guys i had this same problem 2 times the second time being tonight
and i fixed it both times! I don't usually post on forums but im just
trying to help out here i know it can be really frustrating when this
happens. Anyways what i did to fix the problem is lift the ps3 a couple
inches off the ground and gently drop it so the dust or w.e it is in
the ps3 settles n fixes. The second time this happened (tonight) i
tried dropping it again and it didn't work, it really got me mad, but
then i tried dropping it again this time upside down and after 1 drop
it worked. anyways hope this helps :) If i am helpful to you, please rate me. Good luck!
I have a PS3, I haven't had it that long but maybe this will help. Become a member on the PS3 forum and post your issue on the message board, here's the link. http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/ these guys are great and there's a lot of us who post questions on there and answer questions. Let me know how it goes.
If you can get to it without it freezing use the System Restore function under:
If you can't get to it because of freezing you should put your hard drive
into another PS3. It will see it as a new drive and prompt you to
format it. Afterwards put it back into your PS3 and it will do the same
It doesn't matter which PS3 yours or the one you put your hard drive into, they're all the same as far as the process goes.
