My LG Voyager sound just stopped while I was listening to my music. The volume control is at max and the ringer sounds etc. all work fine. What is up with the MP3 sound?

Suddenly the sound on my phone just stopped working. I can't hear/play call sounds, alerts, etc. I can not hear the sound on the mobile tv but I see the picture. The speaker phone buttoned does not work. I can not hear the person on the other end of a call, and they can not hear me. Yes the volume is turned up. Yes the phone is on. Yes the phone is charged. I have tried turning the phone on and off, and none of the basic trouble shooting methods work. I did not drop, get the phone wet, or do anything else to damge the phone, the sound just stopped working!

How do I get the sound back on my LG Voyager. I have only had the thing for 6 months.

Try taking the battery out when the phone is on, DO NOT power down. Doing this resets the internal memory and will allow the main presets to work properly and don't worry it will NOT erase anything. every once in a while the new Verizon phones NEED to be reset like that. IF this doesn't work take to verizon to get looked at hope this helps

MY POWER MAX 5.8 SAYS THAT MY VOLUME IS OFF ON ONE HAND SET--HOW DO I TURN IT ON? THANKS EILEEN CARTER beileenc@bellsouth.net

There are different ways to adjust the ringer and speaker volume on your handset. Please see your owners manual for model specific instructions.
On most single handset units:
Ringer volume: Press the volume up or down arrow rapidly to change the ringer volume.
Speaker volume: When talking on the handset press the volume up and down arrow to increase or decrease the volume.
On other models:
Ringer volume
In standby mode, press the volume up key or volume
down key on the handset or base to select one of three
ringer volume (Off, Low, or High).

Earpiece and Speaker Volume
You can select from among of six volume levels on the
handset, and ten levels on the base. Pressing the
volume up key or volume down key on the handset or
base during a call will change the earpiece or speaker
volume. This setting will remain in effect after the
telephone call has ended.
If you press the volume up key when the earpiece is at
the maximum volume level, an error tone sounds.
The error tone also sounds if you press the volume down key at the lowest volume.

When you are talking on the phone (or listening to a dial tone), the volume control works to control the volume of the receiver. When the phone is not being used, the volume control is used to control the volume of the ringer.

Turn ringer on T7316

T7316 Manual

The volume control adjusts the handset, hands free, headset, and ringer volume. Someone may have fiddled with the buttons and turned the ringer down enough that it doesn't sound when a call is incoming.
