You really need to take this camera to a repair center near you for the repair because there's no way that you can fix it by yourself and also to avoid another problem that may arise...

Good luck....

The contact points that are part of the camera body are some times flexible. look at these inside and on the lid to see if one is loose or not riding high enough to make full contact with the battery.

Remove your memory card and reinsert it.Check the mode dial and be certain it is in the right mode for your normal use.

If the battery compartment contacts are looking okay, use double or triple As which ever is called for for your camera. If then, the power switch fails to gain any activity before shutdown, you've broken something inside, most likely a little circuit board is dislodged but getting into the guts is no easy task.

At this point, I'd say its fixable and worth the 106 dollars to take it in. Go for it, no kidding. If you can replace it for twice that amount then do so.

You will have to send your camera in for repairs either to panasonic or to another place which repairs your brand.

I recommend against trying to fix these yourself, as they are a real pain in putting back together.

Most likely the phone was damaged in the fall. Small misalignments can create big problems for the phone. Most likely, it should be repaired by a professional.

Hi,

Did you try replacing it with the new batteries?

Here are few more troubleshooting steps:

    Polish
the terminals with a dry cloth and make sure the terminals are clean.
If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or similar matter,
this may cause poor contact and power may not be fully supplied to the
    camera.

    Also,
polish the battery charger terminals with a dry cloth before charging
the battery. If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or
similar matter, this may cause poor contact and the battery may not be
    fully charged.

    If
the lens does not extend then it is possible that it has become jammed.
Sometimes this can cause the camera to sense an error and shut itself
    down immediately after powering on.

    There
are other explanations for the behavior, but if the lens does not move
this is the most likely cause. If the lens does extend but then the
camera shuts right back off it is possible that an inner component such
as the focusing element is not functioning properly

The battery cover or CF card (SD card) slot cover is not securely closed.

    Most
cameras have a lock mechanism on the battery cover. The camera will not
turn on if the battery cover is not locked or securely closed, or if
the CF card (SD card) slot cover is not securely closed. Make sure
    these covers are securely closed.

If you still face the problem then the only solution is to get it repaired.

If it's not a hardware issue due to damage like the above posters suggested, try updating the firmware. I suggest referring to the user manual before you do so, however:

How do you eject memory card from camera

On most cameras, you push in on the card and it comes out halfway allowing you to grab it. If not, there may be a switch that you push in thereby popping out the card.

Check your batteries, but otherwise it could be a power board. It could cost between $90 - $125 to replace the board

Samsung L730 wont extend lens and dosent turn on right

Try removing the batteries and memory card. Let the camera set for awhile. Put the batteries back in but not the memory card, restart the camera. Does it work know? If it does, turn the camera off put the memory card back in. Turn the camera on, does it work now? If it doesn't, replace the memory card.

Sony DSC W70 lens stuck!

This is what I found out on this and how I fixed it. This is all relative to my camera. What I found out was the view finder has a small detent which rides in a groove. When droped or bumped it falls out of the groove. To fix this I had to remove the lens assembly and realign the view finder guide. I was a fairly simple procedure.
