This monitor does not have built-in speakers. It looks like you will need to use external speakers for your audio.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

Have an AOC 2436Vh monitor. It has speakers. My son has plugged his PS3 into it, and would like to use external speakers for his game(s). The soft buttons do not control the volume in any way that I can...

To adjust volume, press the down arrow on the lower right corner, to enter volume-setting mode. Then use the up arrow to raise the volume. I think you press the menu button when you are done, or the volume graphic might just go away after a minute.

We have a HP vp15 monitor. Recently we have not had any sound.

Monitor control buttons are located on the front panel of the monitor on the lower right. Make sure that you connect the built-in monitor speakers to the computer, using the audio cable (green connector). The connection on the monitor is located on the back of the monitor. On that monitor I believe the volume button is the second one (from left tot right) on the lower right. Also you may want to check your systems volume on your computer by left clicking one time on the little speaker on the lower right of your screen by the clock.

Hope this helps

Volume pop up in the middle of my screen

Sounds like one of the front panel buttons is stuck in - possibly the volume down button. If no buttons work, this could be the reason why. Just a guess. If they all feel OK, it may still be worth pulling the back off, (Without electricuting yourself -DISCONNECT POWER!) remove the PCB board that has the buttons on it, and see if it turns on without the menu. If so, check all buttons, rare but I have seen one that looked fine but with a multimeter it showed it wasnt working. If the screen still displays the menu, Id say there is a bigger problem... HTH

Acer speaker?

There are two possible problems here. (1). The volume control on your monitor is turned down. With the button on the front of your monitor, find the menu/option button, and look for volume control (2) The volume coming out of your computer is low. Double click on the speaker at the bottom right of your screen, located on the start bar. Use the sliders to change the volume. This should fixya up.

Good Luck!

Speakers

Start with the obvious! Are all connections to PC connected? Be sure that the proper wires are connected to the proper plug in.
Next you may have to adjust the volume control thru Windows. Look for the small speaker icon at the bottom right (usually) of the screen. Double click, and be sure that all of the volume controls are "up" and be sure that none of them are "muted"

There also may be a volume control on the monitor, speaker assembly.

Good luck!
