Ethernet gives network signals from computer server with connectivity capacities. Once the ethernet is connected to your computer, once of the computers within the network structure has a modem or signal converter box to capture and distibute signals. Your computer is functioning with ethernet cable connection as arranged default. Recent computers however have wiifii capacities meaning that, the modem box is not ncecssary to make signals recognised. Recent computers have builtin signal recepticles, once the programs wireless features are enbled, any available computer networks aer detected. Howver, the wiifii makes connectivity to networks by requesting password keys if the aletrnate computers have protected the entry. Simply said, your computer is ok to function with ethernet as regular achievement. only when the ethernet is malfunct usually caused by the computer that has the modem disconnecting from yours. Your computer should actually get better networking with only one of the method available either ethernet or wiifii. Attempting to receive signals with wiifii and ethernet at the same time impedes the network speed since the structures may only allow an amount of data passage for each network on the same computer. Use the computer wireless buttons located at the system settings area to disable the wiifii until a computer request within your knownlege request to activate wiiffii. Keep in mind that once your wiifii is enabled, another computer is sharing resoruces makign the computer slower if a password was not set.

Connecting the laptop to your network using a network cable, does this solve your Internet problems?
Does this works without the Internet connection dropping out?
If the wireless connection has a low signal, try positioning the wireless router or the laptop to get a better signal strength.
Also try reinstalling your wireless driver.
It could be because of a few issues. The signal from the wireless router could be too weak, try moving closer to the source of your wireless access. The wireless adapter could be faulty. There could be something in the area that is interfering with the signal (another device running on a similar frequency).
Open an Internet explorer and type the router IP address which would be either http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 (by default, refer to your product documentation ti determine the default IP address.) in the address bar and press Enter. The Login window will be prompting for a Username and Password. The default Username is admin and the default Password is password
once you see the setup you can configure and change the name and security of your network to find out which one is your network place the router as close to the laptop/desktop so that u get a strong signal if u get other networks u will no yours if try logging onto them and it asks for a password..if u have not configured your without security then that network must be yours.. hope it helps..do letme know if u need anymore help..
Check that the wireless drivers are installed properly on both your laptop and desktop. THe certificate error is because your laptop does not "trust" your computer. Under network conections click add a connection ec, and when you try to conect, microsoft should ask you weva to trust the connections from computer to computer that should do it :D
