Well, what it literally means is that you are not in a cdma capable location, and ur phone runs on the cdma network. some other carriers, and most of europe, use gsm network. are you out of the country rite now?? if u are in ur normal location of use, reset ur phone by removing the battery while ur phone is powered on, then replace the battery and power on. check ur system selection by going to ur settings and tools menu>phone settings>system select>make sure it is set to "automatic", and if there is an option for a or b, choose a. if that does not work, phone may need replaced.

Trying to transfer lg spectrum 2 from verizon to net10

Net10 is a GSM company, which means that the phones that use must have a SIM card. Verizon, on the other hand, is a CDMA wireless carrier, which mean that there is no need for a SIM card in order to work. Verizon and Sprint are starting now to use mini-SIM for some of their CDMA phones or Google phones, (early stages).
Your best option now is to visit a Net10 retailer and asks them this very same question. But I seriously doubt that you can get it to work with Net10.
Net10 use the signals from AT&T, T-Mobile, (Sprint and Verizon when roaming).

I need a free unlock code for my verizon droid incredible phone. Can anyone help?

If it is an HTC Droid Incredible 2 you can unlock it as it is a dual mode CDMA/GSM phone. You can unlock your HTC Droid Incredible 2 from Verizon in order to work with any GSM network. You have the entire guide here:

http://www.htcimeiunlock.com/htc-blog/how-to-unlock-a-dual-mode-cdma-gsm-phone-2013-02-23/

Unfortunately i don't know a free unlock code source but the HTC unlock service i recommended to you is a trusted one, have small prices and good support. I use it also to unlock my HTC EVO Design 4G a dual CDMA/GSM also.

I have a samsung through cricket and i live in colorado i took a plane to georgia and when i got there my phone didnt work and it said CDMA service not available how to i fix this

Hi,

This only means that there is no CDMA coverage on that area where you're at. For sure you'll have it back where CDMA signal is available.

If you go to http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071231123152AAcz6sl you'll see that it is for the same reason

it means that there is no native or partner'd CDMA service
your phone may be able to pick up GSM frequencies but b/c Verizon is CMDA your phone can't not use GSM service
Source(s): Verizon network is CMDA
Sprint use CDMA, iDEN and a few others
the only national carriers that use GSM are T-mobile a German companies and ATT a US monopoly company
no major in the USA uses analog signals

Thank you for visiting FixYa! We answer your concerns promptly for FREE. Please spare a few seconds to click on YES button in return. Have a good one!

Can a Casio G'zOne Mobile phone get a network coverage outside the United States? say as far as in the South East Asian Country?

I believe Casio G'zOne is provided by Verizon wireless. You should call Verizon customer service and ask them. You might have to pay extra for international roaming.

Motorolla sliver asking for subsidy password

Justification for use of Subsidy PasswordThe term "subsidy" refers to the subsidization of cell phones sold to customers that purchase mobile phones as part of a contract with the mobile service operator. Many network operators provide these subsidies as an incentive for users to sign extended contracts, and use the subsidy lock as a means of protecting their investment. The installation of such locks means that users often are forced to purchase a different phone if they decide to switch their network (of advantage to both the OEM manufacturer and cellular service provider).
CDMA cellular providers that use SUBSIDY locks on their handsets:
Ntelos, Cricket, Sprint, Quest, US Cellular & SureWest. (Not a complete list)
GSM: (SIM LOCK) T-Mobile Cingular AT&T
Alltel or Verizon Wireless do not use any type of subsidy locks on their CDMA phones. Default Code:000000 or 123456 or 654321
Prepaid cellphones from Alltel & Verizon Wireless come locked from the store, but Verizon Wireless prepaid cellphones can be unlocked with a call to Verizon.
Link for more information about the "subsidy lock" [1]

[edit]Unlocking services and softwareAs a result of the lack of open access to the Subsidy Password database, a number of online services have grown around providing alternative unlocking software. The methods used to unlock cell phones varies although most involve reading the code from the phone and resetting it.
Network carriers some times unlock their customer's phones. The practice is not different from that when a user unlocks his own phone. While one could consider that the DMCA brings the legality of such applications under question, recent legal cases such as Lexmark Int'l v. Static Control Components have confirmed that the use of software to reprogram such phones is not illegal. This is particularly true since unlocking applications increase compatibility with alternative networks, promote positive competition and allow customers greater freedom to use the phones that they own.
There are no prohibitions to unlocking in the United Kingdom.

Unlock codes for verizon to use in other service provider

Not happening ... Verizon phones run on a CDMA network. Cingular and T Mobile run on GSM ... Sprint although runs on CDMA .. last i heard were making most of their phones hybrid (CDMSA and iDEN ) and verizon phones can in no way shape or form be made a hybrid phone... specially not an LG phone.

Also, with verizon phones, there's nothing to unlock .. they are ESN bound phones meaning only the service provider can say YES or NO weather they'll use it on their network or not. There's no CIM cards

Sorry
