Hello

The problem either the on/off button is faulty or a heat sink not doing it's job.

The on/off button simply toggles a low voltage circuit that powers your tv. If it is dusty, it may complete the electrical circuit and send a false signal.

A heat sink may be dusty and unable to dissipate heat. Overtemp protection may be switching the TV off.

what you should do is to get a can of compressed air, open the back of your tv and clean the dust off the circuit boards.

My loewe articos 30 has a picture but no sound. Frustrating!! Please help!!

Most of the Loewe's (I did factory warranty work on them) have a black square plug in the back with a single jumper wire---if plug is not there there will be no sound.

Get it to work with only the internal speakers and ALWAYS MAKE ALL EXTERNAL HOOKUP WITH THE UNITS OFF.

LET ME know if you have questions as I am here to help you.

Our CAL232 TV will not turn on. When pressing the power button, you can see a red light and a green light, but the screen doesn't start up as normal. The TV then tries again after about 20 seconds, but...

Hello,

My LOEWE CAL 232 will not power up. When the power button is pressed, the monitor turns on, with the LOEWE on the monitor, then the TV continues with the previous activity (antenna, DVD, VCR etc.). Now all that happens is

1. the red light comes on

2.after about 1 second the green light turns on for about 12 seconds

3. the the green light turns off for about 1 second

4. then the green light turns on again for about 12 seconds

and this continues until the power button is pressed to turn the TV off. During this time, the monitor does not turn on and the only sound I hear seems to eminate from the power button.

Any thoughts?

We have an old loewe and want to hook the dvd player up to it

You will need a reset within the deep switch setting
1) Push the left button on the front panel
2) Navigate to "service"
3) push immediately on tv set from your hand control

A new screen will give you access to all deep switches settings.
Be careful, not all settings must be modified, there is a risk of "instant Killing"
You can find the basic setting recommendations on the Web for your TV set

Loewe Aconda 9381 HD/DR+ Will not switch

Could be loss of voltage on secondary or problem on Power supply. Check 4/5 (depnding on chassis) wickman fuses on secondary if none are o/c then replace power supply components with Kit from Loewe. Part number 90415.900.

Should take tv engineer about 1 hour (max) to replace parts form kit.
