Sony explod won't turn on after car battery was disconnected

When the reason for disconnecting it has passed...

I suggest you insert the ignition key and turn it to the on position before connecting the battery. Don't forget a battery can explode so following the safety procedure is important.

disconnect the adapter+battery and HOLD the power button by 30 seconds this remove any EDS. and then reconnect again, and try again.
If this doesnot resolve the problem, clean the contacts ram, in the male and female contacts with contacts cleaner.

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

The primary reason a battery explodes is due to a short. If you have a multimeter or know someone that does, I would recommend looking at the interconnecting wires to look for a short between the black and red wires. Pay special attention to any places where they might run directly next to each other. Be safe, turn off the car power and be sure to disconnect the wires from the battery before testing.

Disconnect the battery and only hook up the AC Adapter. If you laptop still won't turn on then that means the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.
