Have you tried syncing the new remotes. There is a little red button where the battery is and then there is a little red button on the console. Hit the button on the remote and then hit the button on the console. It should work after that.

ok so u start to plug all the wires in the TV.theres a sensor that u need to put in middle of the tv.the sensor is like a rectangle and very lite its supposed to have a wire that has to be plugged in the wii not the TV.
after that its time for your controllers.you need to have at least one controller to play wii.you need to put two batteries at the back of the controller.then click the power button and you'll see the 4 lights light up,but then after seconds there supposed to be 1 light lit up.when your done than click the power button for the wii.for the controller to work u should turn on the wii before the controller. Then the easy part take the cd(game)and put it in the wii.
You need to synchronise the remotes. Take off the battery covers on the wii remotes and open up the flap on the front of the wii where you can put a memory card in. Press the red button that is above the memory card slot and at the same time press the red button that is above where the batteries go on each remote. The wii remotes should flash and eventually give a solid light on either the first or second led at the bottom of the wii remotes. When this happens both remotes are synced.
Try to reconnect your wii-motes, by using the red button on the wii underneath that front flap where you would put the SD card. and then the other red button on the controller where you put the batteries in. and make sure the batteries are fresh

Hold in the power button on the Wii console for about six seconds until it powers off. The light on the power button should turn red after you do this, not amber. Press the power button again to boot the Wii.
9 out of 10 times this fixes all weird issues. If you simple power it down to the amber light, it's not actually off, so you really aren't getting a "cold" reboot.
