Acer n10 is constantly freezing

I recently inherited a Acer n10 and found it is forerver freezing, on any program making it virtually unusable. I don't know much about this things past, but i can tell you i have re-loaded the rom image (2.something) and even loaded an older rom image (1.something) in desperation. I have tried changing the amount of memory. As of yet nothing has worked.
Suggest a new solution for this problem
